I don't think Mongolia will be next. With only 8 civs, I doubt they would do two Asian civs in a row.
Mali doesn't need red. Hopefully the more I mention Mali it will work right?

However, Mali would make an excellent addition. Let's hope there won't be YouTube wave of comments complaining about Africa, no (include Civ name), "insignificant Civ" and so on.

People think their Civ5 abilities have been taken by Norway, Indonesia, and China, so they are less likely.
I personally would like to see some form of them in Civ6.

There is nothing official to point to, however with the most recent DLC adding Khmer and Indonesia, and Polynesia's primary Civ V ability already taken by Norway - most of us aren't expecting them in R&F.

Didn't they even say something like the new world events that some civ triggers got the same effect because it wasn't in?
Settlers entering water after researching Sailing could make them somewhat unique. I like the idea that they could quickly settle on islands faster than other Civs. What ability did China take?
Edit: After some thought adding the ability for settlers to cross open ocean after Celestial Navigation could work as well. However all other military units would have to wait until shipbuilding unless you are in an escort formation with a settler.

Not sure, but yeah, World Congress, Plagues and basically anything other (hell, even lack of new Tech Tree/Civic Tree) can be easily ruled out as they are not the "selling" point of the expansion.
The UI that is stronger if you place it in a long line.
