[R&F] Rise and Fall General Discussion Thread

Given the controversy over the Cree, in the future, Firaxis would have to be very careful when it comes to choosing new civs, especially those that don't have an independent sovereign state to this day.
 
Kongo is a Bantu nation, by the way. Having a separate Bantu blob civ would be like including a Norse/Viking blob civ when we already have Norway (except worse, since the Norse countries are AFAIK more culturally homogeneous than the Bantu ones).

EDIT: (And the Bantu peoples are also much more numerous and spread out, of course.)

...or having a single civ representing the United States, England, Germany, Norway, and Australia.

It's arctic cold in Maryland today, so my bet is on the Amundsen Polar Research Station, if we get anything. :p

But the Wiki "articles of the day" have weirdly lined up.

Any second now, some random forum lurker that rarely posts is going to pop in here and say, "It's <random civ nobody has been talking about>" and will be accurate.
 
Statue of Liberty gives bonuses to loyalty and settlers

Not sure if it gives settlers or increases production towards them; I wish I could build it in the Ancient era now though!

But please not until my poll closes in a little under three hours. I want a spoiler-free crowd-sourced prediction for the last four civs. :D

1 F here just north of Chicago. But, no, seems they went with Statue of Liberty instead of the obvious choice...
 
They did it to spite me. I will only ask for mundane, dull things from now on. Come on, Giant Paperclip by the Highway wonder!!
