They are likely to be included in future versions, but aren't in the current one.If you want to use them at the moment you have to download the seperate packages.Install them will create a new "RAR1" folder and to make the RaR mod using this new folder you have to open the .biq in the editor and then the scenario properties page...there is a line where all the folders are contained the game looks in for files; here you have to insert "RAR1" before "RAR".Hope this helps; if not, do not hesitate to ask again :)

thx for the help, when i try to open the rar1.bq file in civedit it fails advising it is not a valid civ 3 file?

edit: ah, wrong editer.

actually, those are alternate graphics for RaR. We may be using some of them, but they also replace some of our graphics.

ah, post suggested it was an upgrade of sorts. with everything added, there is still a small percentage of icons showing '?' is this comming soon?

appart from this though, compliments for the quality of the mod

cheers

the problem is that some of the buildings/units just don't have graphics yet. Nothing we can really do about it except try and get the artists to make more icons and units.

If we could get everyone who plays DyP/RaR to request units for the mod then we might be able to put a little more weight behind my own requests.

According to the Civilopedia, Pershing is supposed to blitz, but doesn't. is this a biq error, or 'pedia?

Blitz-generated elites was one of the larger exploits for the player. Almost as large as the AI non-use of artillery (so do away with artillery, already!).

2)The Magna Carta is a government-specific wonder for Constitutional Monarchy, but isn't it more of a feudal-era thing?

This triggered a discussion (bottom of Page 28) which ultimately segued into the nature of Magna Carta, leaving the original question unanswered - Why is an early feudal age event attached to an early industrial age government? It's a real jarring disconnect, especially given the attention to historical detail which permeates this mod. From my perspective, there are really only two choices here:

1) Change the name to something like "Parliament" (the ultimate check on unfettered Monarchy as represented by this government type). This is by far the easiest solution as there isn't even a graphic to worry about changing.

2) Move it back in time and associate it with something like "Chivalry" or "Feudalism" (in which case it would become a Monarchy-related improvement).

I'm not too avid to keep the name 'Magna Charta', but 'Parliament' and 'Absolute Monarchy' are pretty contradictary ;) .Granted rights, ok, but not a bunch of elected people daring to discuss the choices of the Sun King :p?

You are in fall, my dear doc. Abs monarchy has Estates general (mine :)), Magna Charta Libertatum is for Constitutional mon.

The Magna Charta is the GSW of Absolute Monarchy, not Constituational Monarchy.

No, check again. But even if it were, Magna Carta would still be occurring about 1/3 of an era too late.

On a different subject, have you considered giving "Enslave" capability to Barbarian units? Three possibilities:

1) The killing unit would have a chance to replicate itself.

2) The killing unit could generate a different, more powerful unit that Barbarians normally can't build - Corsairs, Keshiks, Kensai, etc.

3) It could generate some god-awful "Horde-caliber" unit that would be so overpowered there'd be little to stop it from marching into your empire and destroying anything in it's path. My puny city defenders tremble at the mere thought!
