Rise From Medieval Kingdoms III, Thread Two

300 army is considered small now, I guess it's time to get some more troops. ;)

I have a question though, what happened to the colony I created in the Americas?

Your vassal-colony apparently won't get built until next turn. Ask Leeky if you want the longer story. :)

*The Mayan leader sat on his throne on his throne listening to his messenger talk about his trip across the sea*

"My lord the have magnificent cities there, while not as great as ours there are many more of them with wonders we've never seen before."

"Yes, Yes. Now when you go back I want you to give this message:
To all European nations capable of reaching us we are willing to trade. We have three resources available. And a word of caution stay away from the Aztecs, they are a violent people who would trade with you and then kill you."

"Very well sire. But I must tell you of their roads..."

(Leeksoup did I receive the knowledge of ship building or not?)

Stats updated, Mayans moved to my Player list.

So basically that was just a mistake and was forgotten?

To Maya
From Argos

We would be happy to trade with your nation. We have 2 resources available.

One resource open!

Just ask Leeky, I'm not entirely sure what happened.

To: All Nations of the World
From: The Prosperous Nation of Louisiana

Would anybody like to trade? Prosperous Adriatican nation, anyone?

No, it wasn't. I told Chox that your vassal-colony would take a couple turns to develop the proper infrastructure to become autonomous (since, unlike Terciera, it wouldn't be a player controlling it). Then Chox proceeded to not tell me where you wanted it.

Merciary: thomas.berubeg never mentioned it, so no, you didn't.

Sorry, merciary...

it slipped my mind...

I'll give it to you this turn. in the meantime, i beleive i have a recsourece to trade?

Actually, I don't have a resource.

Also, why do I have a lot less expansion than others? Is part of my expansion off-map or something?

England, enraged by the Kaiser's violation of his agreement to stay out of the Netherlands, drafted an incredibly big army and steamrolled through the Low Countries, taking some of the Rhineland, Denmark, and the North Sea's coast from Germany.
@ England
I did not take over anything, I bribed the dutch army away to help in my war leaving the city to you, I saved you horrific losses and this is how you repay me.

Orders in.

No - you set foot in Dutch territory, which you said specifically you wouldn't. Your occupation of s'Hertogenbosch was in direct violation of this agreement. Now, had you talked with me prior and turned the city over to me that very turn, this unfortunate series of events would not have happened.

Well I had meant to PM you but I was extremely busy and forgot. Tell me, why would I risk war over one stupid city? Also in my orders I never said I take over the city I said I bribe them to come fight with me. I assumed you would just enter the city.

My PM to the Dutch army

To the Dutch Army,

You are surrounded by the English in a hopeless situation. You will be completely destroyed. The Kaiser proposes you withdraw to Germany and join the Reich Armys crusade against the heathens.

I don't get how this makes sense at all. How would having a player control it or not effect the growth of a colony? I mean, it's not like any nation in history has ever been told, "Sorry, your colony is going to take a while to form because we couldn't find an actual player to manage it."

Well, it wouldn't be the first time you've risked war over one "stupid" city. Your hostile incursions in and around the cities of Frankfurt and Vienna would be testament to that. Tell me, what was I supposed to think when I saw s'Hertogenbosch flying German colors? Again, we had no knowledge of this bribe taking place, and thus this was seen as a hostile action.

Sure. An exceptionally charismatic leader was found to lead a group of pilgrims to a new land, who then formed a nation quickly... compared to a government's slow, steady accumulation of colonists and wealth in order to get the official stamp of vassalization.
