I was thinking about making a simple Arab Conquest scenario. The map would probably include the whole of the Old World and include all of China. As the Caliphate traded heavily with Tang China and even fought a battle againt China at the Talas river. Religion would be an important factor in this scenario and I'll have to add Zoroastrianism as a religion in Persia.
The political situations of Central Asia and India are a bit confusing to me right now.
Right now ideas for possible civilizations and leaders are

Arabs- Umar I, Haran al-Rashid
Byzantine Empire- Heraclius I
Sassanid Persia- Yazdgerd III
Frankish Empire- Charles Martel
India-?
China- Taizong, Tang Xuanzong
Visigoths- Roderick
Khazars- Busir
Hephthalites-?
Turks (Gokturks?)-?
Tibet- Trisong Detsen
Axum (Ethiopia)- Ashama ibn Abjar

other possible minor civilizations
Bulgars
Lombards
Saxons
Anglo-Saxons
Nubia (Dongola)
Ghana
Berbers

and youre telling us why?

If you weren't so busy being an ass you would notice that that he is looking for ideas and help, a WIP if you will.

India was united in the North until 647 by Harsha and then collapsed, after that India descended into its dark ages so to speak through a myriad of states, namely palas in bengal, shahis in gandhara, pratiharas in the delhi area for lack of a better term, etc. I'm not so learned on the geopolitical situations in central/ south central asia and africa though. I believe the White Huns controled Transoxiana, the Gok Turks in the area from Turkestan to mongolia, and small buddhist kingdoms in the "afghanistan/pakistan region" lthough it might have been ruled by the kushans I'm not sure as they were a bit earlier.

I would make all the minors regulars. Nubia didn't exist it was a pseudo christian area ruled by the Makurian, Nobatian, and Alwan kingdoms. I would also add the avars, early kiev, bulgars(in the lower russian steppes), Ghana I'm not sure had unified yet. I believe georgia or something to that effect existed. You might consider the Lakhmids and Ghassanids too.

On religions I would diversify christianity into nestorian, monophysitism, as well as roman/eastern rites if those split at the time at the very least. The whole afro-eurasian landmass was totally diverse with religions at this point and played integral roles from the rashidun through umayyad periods.

I can think of more detail upon your request.

At this point I'm still trying to pare down all the civilizations. I could go crazy with the number of civilizations but I'm leaning towards simplification. I will not be able to accurately represent India so I will lump all the Buddhist and Hindu kingdoms in the region together as India although I'm not sure if I should include the Hindu kingdoms of Southeast Asia.
As far as the White Huns go, after doing some research I determined that by the time the Arabs arrived in Afghanistan their domain was reduced to only the area around Kabul. The Hephthalites also converted to Buddhism and became fairly assimilated into the local population. I am leaning towards lumping them with India.
I think I'll add the Avars as well as the Bulgarian Empire although I'm might have them be powerful barbarians. I'm not sure if adding the Koreans, Japanese, and Anglo-Saxons would take away the focus of the scenario.
I'm having a dilemma as to which groups should be civs and which barbarians.
So far the barbarians are:
Ghassanids
Lakhmids
Berbers
Slavs
Volga Bulgars
Lombards
Finns
Saxons
Scots
Britons
Norse
Magyars
Alans
Uighurs
Khitan
