Man: Good afternoon North America!
Woman: Or what would have been a good afternoon, if you weren't exploited by your boss, forced to slave away for peanuts while they reap the value of your labor!
Man: My name is "De Leon"
Woman: And I'm "Luxemburg"
Both: And this is
Guerrilla Radio's "Kulturkampf".
Luxemburg: Our main story tonight is on the pitiful excuse that is the so-called "national" "election" of 2064 that the autocratic fools in the ivory tower, or house in this case, is demanding every nation on the continient to participate in.
De Leon: Specifically, the rump, ex-Federal statei s demanding nations open their borders not only so they can take a "census", but demanding that they run and oversee an election right in their own borders!
Luxemburg: I don't know what is the worst part of this arrangment. Letting a nation run in your borders and fill out a detailed report of every citizen in your country is stupid in itself. You're handing over to Washington valuable infomation for espionage and warfare, not to mention giving spies the perfect cover story of why they're in your borders. "Don't mind me, I am just doing my job peforming this census"
But not only that, but this nation
claims you are its rightful territory on top of that, and that their laws still apply to you. Well, no horsehocky, if you let them run across your border like that, you are nothing but their puppet.
De Leon: It's completely ludicrous to belive that Washington, who claims it is the sole, rightful government of the former 50 states, isn't challenging the sovereignty of every North American nation by holding this election. If they respected our territorial sovereignty, they wouldn't be asking us to hold an election for their internal affairs in our own territory. There is no legal precedent for this arrangment at any point pre-Plauge.
Luxemburg: It would be like England demanding France to let Normans vote for MPs to the British parliment because at one point in the far past, Normandy is where the first King of England was from.
De Leon: Exactly! France would have told Britain to sod off, since Normandy was and continues to be an integral part of France. Unforunately, the hacks running the borgeious states to the south and west apparently faied to get this memo, since they very happily acquesied to their demands.
Luxemburg: Bourgeois identity is a trans-national concept, comrade. Globalist scum probably want to reunite their greatest tool, the old Federal government, to beat down the worker yet again. After all, more profit can be made if they have to bribe less civil servants to control government.
De Leon: This is the same Washington that cowardly attacked the Revolution unprovoked. We fought them off, since the people united can never be defeated.
Luxemburg: And if they try it again, we'll fight them off again until we bury them all, because the people can
never be defeated. But make no mistake, the bourgeois want to reunite old America to strike a second Crusade against the Internationale, the greatest and presently only resistance formed against their machinations.
De Leon: Unfortunately, not even we have a unitied front. Here is the official statement by the Tennesse Government:
Tennessee, after due consideration, agrees to not interfere with any of its citizens participating in the election and census. Tennessee understands that this breaks with its allies in the Internationale, but feels that it would be unjust to deny its people the right to voice their conscience on the matter. Tennessee was founded as a nation of soldiers who would be free from exploitation, and while the Republic continues to assert its independence, it does not feel its private citizens voting in the elections of a separate state are detrimental to its own independence.
Tennessee of course disagrees with nationalism and the traditional structure of the United States, but such things are best dissolved through social participation as opposed to isolation. The good people of Tennessee joining the elections gives hope to spread Tennessee values to the heart of the former capital.
Luxemburg: "Deny the right to voice their conscience on the matter"? What meaningless drivel. Everyone has the right to comment on elections happening in other nations. For example, I can say with utmost confidence that all the candidates in Utah's upcoming presidental election are complete worthless dirtbags, and that I feel sorry that the noble workers of that nation have to put up with such a reactionary government.
De Leon: If you are listening in from Utah, don't even bother to show up to the polls. Seriously. There is no way a proper Syndicalist canidate could mobilize a campaign in this short of a timeframe. Save your energy to forming unions and fighting for your rights as a human being, and then form a Syndicalist Party once you have a secure union base.
Luxemburg: But, what Tennessee fails to realize is there is a world of difference between a private citizen voicing their opinion on a foreign nation's election, and letting that nation into your own borders and running an election themselves. That is cedeing authority, plain and simple. It is beneath the dignity and respect that our comrades in Tennessee deserve.
De Leon: And what the hell is with this nonsense about social participation vs isolation? Being a sovereign worker's nation is not isolationism, as evidenced by our membership in the Internationale. It's about being anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist, and refusing to consent to their modes of power. Even the most naive socialist shoud know the difference.
Luxemburg: I wonder what our comrades in Memphis would think if Utah asked if they could run a census and an election in their borders. I think they would be singing a much different tune.
De Leon: Not to mention,
both of our nations were founded on the principle of direct action in the wake of the collaspe of the old Union. While we do not mean to denounce the revolutionary zeal and passion of the brave men and women of the old Syndicalist Party, such as Margarita Sanchez, who fought within legal means for reform, the context of their situation was far different than today. In the 2040s, political action was simply more of an effective tool than direct action, so our comrades of the time did political action. We do not blame them, but in fact celebrate their heroism, for standing up to the reactionaries and fascists when no one else would.
Luxemburg: But this isn't the 2040s. There is no more unified American government. This is an era where direct action established the world's first true socialist governments in North America. We don't need to play the bourgeois' games, since we created our own democracies within our unions, ones that aren't for sale and can't be bought.
De Leon: Agreed, comrade.
Luxemburg: On that note, we still urge all those within the territory of Washington's rule, to form a Syndicalist Party of Washington. But make sure you are armed, because the old reactionaries will not hand power over so easy to you. Make them fear the red hydra once more. Comrades of other nations who foolishly give up their sovereignty to Washington, don't let the oppritunity pass you. This could be your way to free our comrades in the mid-atlantic.
Only refuse to participate if your nation is sufficently revolutionary, of which only Tennessee qualifies: for the Revolution itself should be where our true loyalty lies.
Both: Workers of the world, unite!
De Leon: Up next, we continue our coverage of our brave comrades in Centeral America, fighting for their Syndicalist homelands.
Luxemburg: And we will dive further into just how rotten the election in Utah is.
De Leon. But first, here is some tunes.
