Howard Johnson restaurants were very popular many years ago. It is a national chain which now focuses more on hotels http://www.hojo.com/HowardJohnson/control/home I used to frequent them and we always called them Hojos. Sorry, I'm back now...

They used to be one of the better chain restaraunts, but like anything else that goes through a corporate expansion, quality drops back a few slots in priority. Haven't eaten in one in quite a while. Last one I did was Las Vegas, NV. Wasn't impressed.
