RK11 - First Strike Strikes Back

I did start a workboat, but haven't finished it yet by the end of my turns.
Looking at Ralph's screenshot it should finish in 6 turns unless some micro is done to add hammers.

seems that i was omitted for both steal worker and settle in place but its okay cause i would have done the same!

Well, sorry about that tycoonist, but:
1. As rolo pointed out, no one would not settle in place.
2. We already had three votes for worker steal, so we all asked Ralph to go ahead with it.

Next time, we'll try to wait for you. :D

oh got it by the way but won't play until tonight

Hold on Tycoonist please dont play as I have played my turnset and will have a report up this afternoon.

Cheers

Ralph

Oh BTW, if I didn't say BUG Mod is banned, it automatically means everyone in this SG is using it, right? Because I am...

I always feel kind of worried when I have this kind of starts.... When I get them it always seems that the land for a thousands miles is a barren wasteland worthy of being the scenario of Mad Max

Going back to this, I tried a couple of Donut games. Most of the maps generated by Donut apparently seem to have post-apocalyptic landscapes. Fortunately, EVERYONE gets an equally evil setup around their capital, so we're not alone.

And I was wondering why the AI's score was so low during Donuts...

Roster
Robo Kai (just played)
Ralph Jackson (will post save and report soon)
Tycoonist (on deck, but will soon be up for 20 or until interesting event)
negyvenketto (on second deck for 20)
R. Rolo

No problem tycoonist the save is now yours!

Well its always good to start the day with a nice old fashioned worker steal…

After that it was mainly shepherding back our worker (he was a long way from our capital) and pressing enter as we went down the Hunting, Archery, Mining BW path.

As we had got what we wanted from Dear Old Josef (which I of course view as liberating the oppressed proletariat!!) I monitored relations and once he had returned his toys to his pram signed a peace deal with him..

Well after a fair few turns pressing enter (mm for max :commerce:) Archery came in and we switched to an Archer build (mm for :hammers:) as I felt distinctly nervous having an undefended capital.

(RK we must introduce you to the joys of Barbarian uprisings in BTS and their capacity to end games very quickly….

Once the worker returned he pastured our sheep and is sitting ready to mine a hill so we finally get some production going.

I stopped once BW came in (we are currently in Anarchy) as it was just about 30 turns No hammers into the settler or beakers into Mysticism invested yet so they are up for debate…

Our Woodsmen Warrior is healing just outside our borders, didn’t do that much exploring as he was busy worker shepherding but here is the known world.

In other events we met Alexander (scout near our capital) and Joao (from the S) so we now share our land with 4 AI’s

Meditation (seems most likely) went on turn 25 taking Christianity and Gilgamesh took Confucianism on Turn 34.

Proposed

2 pop settler whip
research quite a few options here...Writing for a library as we are food rich but personally i would go Wheel Pottery for granaries and some cottages..

Here's a dotmap of the available world:

The ideal second city to me is the Yellow Dot™. But Gilgamesh is likely to be there first so we may need to settle for Cyan Dot™.

Third/fourth city candidates include the Green Dot™ and the Magenta Dot™. The Orange Dots™ are possible sites of future marginal cities.

Dammit, rolo was right about the landscape. Well, that's what we get for playing Donut.

I agree with prioritizing yellow dot, if we pop rush the settler and use our warrior as escort we might get it before Gilgamesh and it would be worthwhile.

I actually glanced at it and though it was 1E of the corn :rotfl: probably just a mis click from Robokai?

haven't finished playing yet cause i got to a dilemma point.

first i met this guy:

i hate this guy. he is a really bad backstabber.

well the settler was chopped out but we found the cow had been taken. we will not be able to wrest the cows away without capturing his city, so i now like this position more (the square the settler is on):

thoughts?

That city was already there on Robo Kai's dot-map, just did a border pop since.
I think 1E from Yellow dot is still feasible.

Hi guys, just a quick lurk to say Hi to Robo Kai, It has been a long time :).
I'll be following this one, I was one of the original players in the First First Strike Game ;)

I would still go the originally planned location, bit of a culture fight but very winnable.
