Role Play Challenge: Bismark the Master Builder

Here is the status of the German empire

Our Magnificent Empire

BisA0013.jpg~original

The World as we can best make out

BisA0015.jpg~original

A highlight of our northern borders.

BisA0016.jpg~original

Charlemange is a bit close and I may be losing one of those gems if we don't fix things there.

Berlin

BisA0017.jpg~original

I did switch to representation but NOT slavery. We do not need to whip monuments or Barracks and we have enoguh hammers not to waster population. Also those slave revolts are a killer in a wonder building capital.

Hamberg

BisA0018.jpg~original

Powergraph numbers, not bad we are improving as we buils axes

BisA0020.jpg~original

Doing very well in GNP and production

BisA0021.jpg~original

But we already have 2 AIs we need to declare war on

BisA0022.jpg~original

So here is whjere we are at

Iron is in Berlin and gives us extra production and prime military through the midle ages.

We have 4 wonders so far which gives us

1/2 a creative leader (stonehenge)
Financial leader for worked sea tiles.
Early representation which no other AI gets until constitution.
Free metal casting which gets us forges ALOT earlier than any other AI.

We got out first GP )a prophet) which was settled in Berlin.

Overall a very good start, 4/6 wonders, 2 solid production cities, access to marble, access to all early military resources, and blocked off AIs.

Now where to go from here and I need some advice

1) Religions: Ragnar is Jewish; hammarabi is Hindu, and the vile Justinian is Buddhist. Almost all of my cities are Jewish. Ragnas is THE most agressive of the AIs yet and Charlemange (Hindu but has Jewish cities) is right on my northern borders. Suggestions???

2) Military. Lot's of it. The culture from wonders tend to be a slight protection from AIs but also attracks them like magnets. We have to cut the science slider a bit, so be it. We have representation so a hybrid SE and sea economy may be fine for a while.

3) Techs: OK, we got all the worker techs done which is when I saved the game. Now I say we hit Writing/Aesthetics/Polytheism/Literature. After that Mathematics for the hanging gardens, then fill in the economy with Currency and CoL (chichen Izta).

4) Expansion: Like I said maybe 1 more city to settle. When and if do we go after the other AIs? No way we can keep anymore cities until Currency and CoL. I am fine going to war early or waiting all the way until the Panzer world (DIE Justinian DIE).

Looking for all and any advice.

An intriguing read!

I find that it's usually easier to get The Great Library than the Hanging Gardens since the AI prefer mathematics to both aesthetics and literature. Besides, you're not only industrial but you have marble as well. I would go for the Gardens first and then the Library, that way you're practically guaranteed to get them both.

What a city sites, incredible. The one with gems, sugar, horses, pigs, fish and spices all in your grasp. So many settle points, just great. This is going to be an intriguing game.

Surprisingly, similar results, barb city, i Kept it or I settled that spot, can't remember which, Hamburg, or the rice fish in your NW, WAS a barb spawn city, 1 WEST...ARRRGGGHHH burnt and resettled in YOUR POSITION, same city name.

Enough of that, I'm further in than you, as YOU have said, 2 aggressive civ's who count religion as a BIG DEAL IN RELATIONS.

I think, :crazyeye: (Reading your report only), that with 3 religions, they will be at each others throughts, and asking you to change to THEIR religion.

As you have Majority Jewdaism, and Organised religion 25% hammers is not to be Wonderspam/missed..Convert.

P.S Religions panned out similar...with Buddism/Jewdaism.....

Maybe a dual spam of Hindu/Jewdaism to keep both aggressive civ's happy, and swap between 2, if asked...?? 2 turns...YOU just know, they'll ask so you miss a wonder by 1 turn.... ARRRGGHHHH 1 turn........

I got great wall, chop chop, pyramids oracle and stonehenge. Nah nah nah ::p  Didn't even both about Great Lighthouse...My boo boo:mischief:

Oh yes....POPPED BRONZEWORKING FROM A HUT......:p

Metal casting slingshot....did that as well..DIDN'T aggresively settle as you have, Kudo's to you....:goodjob:

Oh yes, much more scouting then you as well, gold, maps etc from huts...and

BRONZEWORKING...:p  :crazyeye: :goodjob:  :king: FROM A HUT

IPEX, Nice start and kudos to getting the GW also :goodjob: Popping BW from a hut probably made the difference there as my teching did stall for a bit before Masonry.

Yeah I am thinking of going with Judaism because it is spread so far in my empire and Ragnar's the most agressive of the AIs. However, I do not have OR yet so I can wait. I still have the Ind/Forge edge over an AIs OR for production, and the forge bonus applies to units not just buildings. The thing is that Chuck is on my doorstep and protective while Justinian has the GW so I'll eventually be at war with him.

My other thing is to break out the old Ghengis Kahn war/city raze economy (not so easy with Bismark but he has a big production edge) and take the nearest AI out. The 2 wonder spam cities are protected well from the battle front by the two jungel cities, just need to punch out enough units. I will ikely wait though.

I would be interested in eventually seeing how your game plays out, please feel free to post it, but please use spoilers

Spoiler :

I'll play the next round tonight.

Great cities, I agree but they took valuable time and cost me the GW. Now I need to get the jungles cleared and get some production, I want these two for military and cottaging.

That is an excellent idea.

OK, Math/ploy/Aesthetics/Literature

Math = hanging gardens (I may chop this out in Berlin as I did save all the forrests)

Poly = ToA, the tough wonder and favored amongst the AI. I'll try this in Hamberg (that would be 2 GM wonders here, hmmm) but likely will have to conquer it.

Aethetics = Parthenon (marble), Swang palace (no gold???), Zues (ivory, oh baby)

Literature = GL (marble)

All the while ignoring alphabet, monotheism, currency, CoL.

Let's do it :goodjob:

Hammurabi found Hinduism, so he will build that shrine sooner or later. That makes 3 casualties of war so far.
That also makes it easier to choose your friends for the time being ^_^

Good game so far! Great cities, lots of resources. Any ideas for a first war yet?

Bismark the Master Builder: Part II

The German Chancellor, yes the chancellor, looks over his empire particularly the splendid and magnificent capital of Berlin. "This is excellent, our people are represented spurring scientific research as well as keeping them happy. I am absolutely pleased, to an extent." The senate considers this and agrees, some other civilizations cities have some glorious and special wonders, the Byzantines and Babylonians in particular. All agree we like the Vikings, they are a gruffer and dirtier version of our magnificent German people. Our long lost brothers, and we share their religion. All the senate also nods their agreement that Germany needs more land. This so called Holy Roman Empire, they are nothing but German people under a false name. All hush as they consider furture events...

Well another good round and mostly building and teching. And building Military for future wars, but we are getting ahead of ourselves

First off the complete tech line we researched this part

writing/math/poly/calander (could not pass up getting those resources on line)Aesthetics (cost us delaying it)/Literature/Currency(money baby)/construction/theology (missed the holy city by 2 turns)/HB/CoL

Popped 1 great Prophet and 2 Great engineer, all settled in Berlin. We are at 62 GPs/turn at marathon speed. Damn impressive

We settled a new city right near the spices and 2nd iron.

We talk with Ragnar

BisB0000.jpg~original

We agree, nasty Babylonians. He has no iron either, too bad he's not closer.

We also make nice with the Byzantine, we bide our time before taking his cities. Alhpabet and +25% to wonder for monotheism, nice. We already have the colossus, so we can afford MC.

BisB0001.jpg~original

An we start poundin gour some wonders

BisB0003.jpg~original

Since I have to settle all GPs except the first GS I better get the Taj to utilize this wonder.

BisB0004.jpg~original

GPs baby, and I could care less that our Berlin GP pooled is tainted with artist points. A settled great artist gets us +3 gold and +12 culture, not bad at all.

BisB0006.jpg~original

One of the best wonders of all, especially with the pyramids.

Ragnar comes by for another trade, not really needed for heritary rule, but moves us along the tech tree.

BisB0007.jpg~original

Yet another wonder, mostly for those GE points and finish off the jungle chopping faster

BisB0009.jpg~original

At this point we ar ebuilding the AP so to control our Jewish brothers.

At this point I saved and open it up for advice. What do we tech next

BisB0010.jpg~original

Paper and/or Philosophy for the next two wonders?
Civil service for Berlin? We really do not NEED the hammers but we won't complain.
Fuedalism/Machinery and take a break on wonder techs?

Some status of our empire

BisB0011.jpg~original

Even with Chuckie

Our city screens

BisB0012.jpg~original

And Berlin, the gem of the German empire.

BisB0013.jpg~original

No picture of our military but we have ALOT in our horse city waiting to invade Charlemange who we have to get through before hitting the two wonder stealers. You can also see our Jumbo production is under way.

So for the nest round

1) What is our tech order?
2) Time to unleash our military might, and it's going to the Holy Romans. Going to need courthouses pronto, and probably switch to a SE for a bit.
3) Ragnar has already declared war on Charles twice, I am thinking he'll be willing to join again.

Enough for now

Bismark The Master Builder: Part III

The German chancellor considers his options. Time to move out the German military machine and reclaim The Germans in the Holy Roman Empire. Also Bismark considers, "This empire will not survive and flourish by war alone, we must invest in education." Hign quality German research progresses....

Well we progressed in our wonder building campaign although we are losing a few of these wonders to the Byzantines. The Byzantines are past the Holy Romans and Vikings so he may have to wait until the Panzer era to address. We launched 2 assaults on the holy Romans, found the last 2 AIs, and did a nice jon and getting some tech edge by nailing liberalism first, taking nationalism and starting the Taj Mahal.

First thing is we meet another AI.

BisC0000.jpg~original

The master backstabber!!!!

We also build the AP and get voted Spiritual leader!!!!

So we move our army towards CHuck who seams to be detested by Ragnar, we will find out why in a bit. The approaching stack

BisC0003.jpg~original

We take Mainz and the coastal HR city and sue for peace (he is protective and has longbows, so he's no easy pickings)

BisC0008.jpg~original

We make a few nice trades, Justinian is a pleaseure to deal with considering he'll be dead soon enough.

BisC0006.jpg~original

BisC0007.jpg~original

And the status of our northern borders.

BisC0009.jpg~original

and the world

BisC0010.jpg~original

Our borders are completely surrounded by Charlemange. I think the best think is to expand through his territory north and noertheast. Prague has to be taken to relieve some cultural pressure.

Now this is one of the few games since I started playing CIV in December 2005 that I actually fully teched divine right. Not bad as I founded a religion, got teh two wonders associated with it, and got some good trades from it. I'mm gonna rethink this tech in future games.

We build several wonders in Berlin: University of Sankore, Chichen Itza, Spiral Minet, Sistenn chapel. We got versailles in Muich which means we can delay the forbidden palace until we take over Babylonian and Byzantine lands.

Some more trades

BisC0014.jpg~original

BisC0016.jpg~original

BisC0020.jpg~original

As you see we got three techs for divine right

We also hit the Quadrouple Play for a religious economy: Each Judaism religious building now gets us additional +2 hammers, +2 beakers, +2 gold, and +5 culture. Not bad at all, plus eash specialist we run gets us an extra +3 beakers and +2 culture. That's one hell of an empire from mostly wonders!!!!

Oh, we decared war on Chckie again and went for Praugue which also happened to have his heroic epic, too bad.

BisC0019.jpg~original

Numerous other battles are kindles, nice to see some religious wars helping us out although Justinian is doing a nice job of keeping out of any of them.

So we declared peace with Chuck, teched liberalism (too nationalism), and finished Versaiiles all just before the save.

We got 4 GPs, 1 prophet, 1 engineer, and 2 artsist. All were settled. The settled artists actually give us +3 gold rather than +3 beakers, i guess it's a BTS thing. Market, Grocer, and a future Bank and we got alot of gold coming out of Berlin. Take a look

BisC0023.jpg~original

12 turns for the Taj, on MARATHON speed!!! what a stud city.

The world

BisC0024.jpg~original

And demographics

BisC0026.jpg~original

Also the last leader is Sitting Bull who I can see on the map but has not introduced himself yet, as expected he is pretty far behind in tech.

So there we have it. Things to do

1) Finish the Taj for a 24 turn golden age (thankyou Mausoleum)
2) Tech banking, we'll try for the free GM through economics or at least swap to free market during the GA. Then we agressively pursue the rifling tree and stomp down Chuckie for good.
3) I am looking to hit Hammarabi once we get Cavalry and rifles.
4) Not many techs for wonders after the Taj unless we pass the rifling to go for constitution and democracy. Then there is the Kremlin but first things first.

So any comments or suggestions???

you've surpassed my stage of the game, some past notes...

I nearly..NEARLY had HRE declare war on me, they had stack at my borders when I saw it, WHIPPED 2-3 TROOPS in each city, and that got them to hold off I feel. Had a 'barbarian hoard event, lol with great wall boxed into 1 tile on coast till boarder popped and bumped them out into wider lands 5 axeman.

had nemerous wars, all religion I'd say. Have you been fueling the religious fires?, has the Christian holy city been built, if so, BISMARK MUST HAVE IT...

Maybe Ragnar could be an ally to beat up a civ or 3.

Save all Great profits.......or don't you want to build the holy buildings..only capture..

SoL, would be a great boon, would you look at specialing GG points to generate a merchant?? ie all great merchant wonders in a coastal city.

Ragnar has been a good ally so far and I plan to keep him that since he's the only AI right now without a wonder.

The Prophets all have to be settled in Berlin as per the rules and goal of demonstrating the power of a wonderpammed capital with settled GPs.

I do not think the Christianity Shrine has been built yet but it is no concern. The city is on the northern shores of the HRE and that will soon be liberated and returned to the deserving German people.

GG means Great Merchants??? Hamberg is getting alot of GP points but never seams to be able to pop one out faster than Berlin does from the beginning of a new cycle. Still I am running 2 merchants and 1 engineer in that city as well as points from the colossus. During the GA I'll likely switch to pacifism for 23 turns.

Regarding Chuck, Ragnar has kept him pretty busy so he has not had much time to counter attack me let alone initiate anything. I think after the Taj GA it's time to finish off the Holy Romans.

The wars appear to be on religious lines, but not completely. Justinian is staying out and Chuck is sort of being digpiled. The AIs really don't go to war for religion as much as war in general. Tha Babylonians are what is really holding me back a tad as he's tends to bring a big army.

Bismark the Master Builder: Part IV

The chancellor appoints a day for rest and celebration, Germany has liberated their German brothers from the tyranical rule of the Zealot Charlemange. Of glorious Viking cousin joined in the conquest, forming great bonds of Friendship. "Let the Vikings master teh art of war, we will master the art of life". We have also made great friendship with the Chinese people, although we do not trust them. Bismark smiles and laughs while he sits in the dining hall with some brews and fresh meat, but ever thinking how and when he should approach the Babylonians and Byzantines. "Those wonders should be ours" he mutters, "And the Great Lighthouse has not been found.

So we had a rather short round in turn, long is real life play time. Bascially 2 phases

1) We completed the Taj and had 24 turns of a GA, quite awesome.
2) We destroyed the Holy Romans with the help of the Vikings and the Chinese.

We start with

BisD0000.jpg~original

We got three GPs in this GA (we switched to pacificsm), a GM from economics, a GE from Hamburg (well, no GM), and a GS from Berlin (which we built an academy with, the only rule exception to settling all the GPs).

Berlin during the GA

BisD0001.jpg~original

And our civic at the end of the GA

BisD0002.jpg~original

No wonder until democracy or communism so we do not need OR, theocracy is what we want now. All during the GA we were cranking out military.

We declare on Chuckie boy, and for the cost of Philosophy

BisD0003.jpg~original

BisD0004.jpg~original

We get a pair of war allies and some cash.

Here is our SoD heading towards Aechon. We sent a smaller stack across the NW shore to take three cities, including teh christianity holy city.

BisD0007.jpg~original

we took Aechon, and later Nurenberg. We razed one western city and let Ragnar have his pick of HRE cities (vienne, florence, Ausberg). We want a stronge viking empire in our upcoming wars and also we need to avoid getting a domination win before we build all the wonders.

Our tech lead has increased greatly, we are now the top dog, er I mean Dashund.

BisD0008.jpg~original

We apporach the last city (after taking luxenborg) and raze it. Remeber I deactivated the vassal option because I did not want any confusion about wonder possesion.

Once the war is over

BisD0010.jpg~original

I don't see too many penalties with Ragnar except perhaps turning down a request to switch civics.

Diplomatic conditions.

BisD0011.jpg~original

2 friendly, Justinian is cautious (because we are running theocracy), and Hammarabi. We still have met up with Sitting Bull yet, gotta get a caravel there soon.

The world map

BisD0012.jpg~original

Thje captured Aechon city screen

BisD0013.jpg~original

Looks like another military capital!!!! Gotta structure that city for bigtime production.

and of course our beloved Berlin. It hasn't changed much but it's such a fine city why not post it again.

BisD0014.jpg~original

And our city listings

BisD0015.jpg~original

Also soon after the war alot of cities started converting the Judaism. I think Ragnar got one of those "spread your religion" random events. Many Chinese cities converted so I bribed Qin with Banking to convert, which he did.

Well, that's enough for tonight.

Right now only Hammarabi is close to us in rifling (we are not there yet, but closing in) but is far way from military traditon and cavalry.

Goal;s for the next round

1) Build up military and head towards Babylonia!!! I think a very quick and agressive strike with our Viking and chinese allies whould cut them down fast. I do need to make sure I know which cities have the wonders, we do not want Ragnar "Accidently" capturing one, the Chancellor would not be pleased.

2) Techwise, I think it's rifling, cosntitution, democracy (SoL), scientific method, communism (Kremlin). Then perhaps we can beelin chemistry, steam working, path.

Any suggestions on how to proceed are appreciated.

I am interested in how the shadowed games have turned out so far.

Alright, I had a few hours today, thought I could complete this, unfortunately... Maratharthon speed is

toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

All I did is get up to the Great Library part, then just had to call it quits. I'll maybe continue at another time.

I am glad to see you shadow the game. I understand the aggrevation of moving into another game speed when you are used to one. I frequently have this problem trying to shadow faster game speeds.

If yo can, please post a brief report of how you did compared with mee, even if only up to the GL part (in spoilers of course).

I haven't played since I first had a look, as I said, just to move settler/scout...then 4 hr's latter...Opp's..

I'll have a go tomorrow, Now do you want past history in spoilers?? *don't see point*, future I do...and agree..

but past is past...and different Universe...ie events, style etc But its YOUR thread, and I'll follow all instructions. Play tomorrow *Saturday*

:goodjob: Still behind you, I've put my self into a real hole....

Digging furiously to get out, or am I just digging deeper..:crazyeye:
Spoiler :

So what have I done, I paniced when I saw the HRE stack of doom at my borders, and just assumed it was to invade me, as seemed overkil for the 1 barbarian city left..As a result, Berlin is 8 Population behind your version, and other cities are 4-8 behind. mistake No 1

Toiled on with the wonder spam, Missed the Chichten Itza by 1 TURN...  Still steaming, thought I had it wrapped up.

Built all others, the Appotolitic palace, thought about changing to Christianity for 1 turn as built, then back to jewdaism, but didn't...Hmm Mistake No 2

Got all other wonder, from Engineering to nationalism and paper, on last turn of Golden Age, I'm going along just leading in Tech's..Traded Nationalism to Babayon, for banking Guilds and optics, Mistake No 3. I feel

IN my world, Ragnar, Hammurabi, and Charlemaine are all Jewish, Justinian and Quin are Buddist, and I don't know about Sitting bull as yet ;)

Trouble is, I've been dragged into a war with Justinian, and abandoned by Ragnar and Charlemaine, but I have to attack HRE TO break out...Hmm

Thinking of building National hermatige, in site of Anasazi, which is your Munich but west of Pigs on River, as I've got a greed challange, and either invade to gain horses, which are 15% mine, due to 2 settled great artists, so I can flip the tile to me.

recieved 3 Great Artists so far, 2 settled in Anasazi, and one in Colonoge which is your Frankfurt by the coast and 2 south of Dye. This cities flipped the rice from HRE due to settled Great Artist, and hopes to flip 2nd dye.

At moment, I'm woeful on Military, so will sit back tech rifles, and try to Culturally flip the city of Mainz which is your Ulm.

I'm gaining the wonders but at expense of Military, due to my PANIC WHIPPING, its killed my military, and the AI'S have really quietened down in wars, Hammurabi, is starting to gain on tech's.. I think Nationalism was a real mistak to trade...

I'm not big on the trading of tech, I tend to prefer to self research and keep other in dark...

On last think Charlemaine has open borders with Justinian, even though different religions, won't stop trading with 'our best friend', and If I bribe to war, will just stop within 10 turn...for no benefit...

I think I'm so Stuffed, built castles in 2 cities off my Peninsula, and now will stock with long bow's, pikes and Elephants..If I'm attacked and lose one or both, I give up, as I have no other troops virtually. hehehe, some cities have ZERO,:cry:  Uuuugggghhhhhhhh

I may reload from the start of this turn set and play out differently.....but I'll toil on unless the event I out lined in spoiler happens..

Bismark the Master Builder: Part V

Ok, this is a fairly long round. I had a problem with a game bug that had me in a continual "waiting for another civilization" loop. I managed to download Bhuric's 1.11 patch of Frixas' 3.13 BTS patch (huh?) and all seams well, but this part was fairly long in real time and I may not be lreating in in correct order (I am no where as good as Sis in posting a played game) so bear that in mind.

Brief Summary:
1) We waged 2 wars against the babylonians, the first captured the capital and the desired wonders, as well as the hindu shrine. The second war eliminated Hammarabi from the continent giving us a clear shot at the Byzantines although there are babylonian cities off shore which I could care less about at the moment.
2) We are doing very well in tech, first to physics and communism (both free GPs settled in Berlin) and we built the SoL and Kremlin. Next tier of wonders requires electricity/rtadio/masss media/assembly line.
3) Ragnar is my blood brother, love his agressive military styyle (what good German wouldn't) and his complete lack of any wonders. Qin is friendly with us and we even got him to close borders against his buddy Justinian for a shile using the AP! Justinian is cautious.pleased mostly due to the theocracy civic.

So let's see how well I can piece what happened together

First we mad a series of good trades

BisE0000.jpg~original

BisE0002.jpg~original

And score some brownie points with Justinian

BisE0001.jpg~original

Ragnar initiates things by delacring war on Hammarabi!! Soon after we declare war on the Babylonians once Ragnar softend them up a bit. Hammy bow has rifles but not cavalry

Our starting assault

BisE0004.jpg~original

BisE0005.jpg~original

This is a slow plodding war into bablyonia. Also one of the wonder Hammarabi built was the SoZ, so WW is a MAJOR problem. I was forced to bolt to police state which killed research (very specialist heavy) and physics went from 13 turns to 43!!!!

We also official met Sitting Bull

BisE0006.jpg~original

Yep, he's got the Great lighthouse AND the confucian holy city (apparently no shrine yet). He will be our last assault although going after him and Justinian with Panzers should be fine.

And we make a nice trade with a war-minded Viking bretheren

BisE0007.jpg~original

And built the SoL

BisE0008.jpg~original

We better get back to representation soon!!!

The assault on Bablonia

BisE0009.jpg~original

And the captured Wonder rich capital, the chancellor is very pleased.

BisE0010.jpg~original

We take a few more coastal cities to avoid the massive cultural pressure on the former Babylonia capital then quickly declare peace and get rid of the damn WW for the SoZ

BisE0011.jpg~original

The border with Babylonia at the moment

BisE0012.jpg~original

The Diplomatic front

BisE0013.jpg~original

Note the defensive past between Justinian and Qin, goota do something about that later.

And a request form the noble Vikings

BisE0014.jpg~original

Hell, I'ld probably gift him nuclear weapons at this point!!!!

And a very chinese heavy trade, but I want good relations with him

BisE0015.jpg~original

TO Be continued...............

Last edited:
Bismark the Master Builder: Part V continued

Soon we get a visit from Ragnar

BisE0016.jpg~original

At this point I had physics and started building airship which are pretty deadly when your opponent cannot defend against them!!

We also used the AP to dent relations between Qin and Justinian

I got steel from Ragnar for a steep price

I took the screenshot too early, I needed to give him scientisific mether and astonomy. Well worth it, we soon will have railroads.

We take all Babylonian continental cities except the last one. we soften it up quite a bit with airships, while Ragnar pounded away with seige weapons. Ragnar took teh city, and we do not begrudge it as we do not want to accidently slip into a domination win before the last wonder is built.

After getting kicked off the continent and choking on the SoZ for a while Hammarabi accepts peace.

I do plan to declare war unless requested by Ragnar and then it will be a naval, phoney war. Ragner seams very happy to continue the war and who are we to deny our friends thier enetertainments!!!

We get our second and only wonder of the period

So where do we go from here??

My thinking (please input your thoughts if you like)

1) City infrastructure!!! Banks/markets/grocers in all cities to bring some extra cash in and move the science slider up. Libraries/Universities/observatories for the science.
2) Berlin: Looks to be a good espionage city as those buildings were built quickly. Also have a settled GS. Currently building Oxford (5 turns!) and will let the city build wealth or science between wonders.
3) Tech: I am beelining Combustion first for the Superios navy, then electricity, and assembly line for the wonders. Once we get those going I am heading for Industrialization for the Panzers and off to claim some Byzantine heads!!!!!!
4) National Wonders, they need to be built:

Forbidden Palace: Babylonia
West Point: Aechon (it already has three settled GGs from Chuckie
Ironw Works: Aechon (Panzer heaven!!!!!!) every Panzer will start with 15 XP, UNSTOPPABLE.
Oxford: Berlin, all those settled GPs
Mount Rushmore: Does it matter?
Red Cross: I think Munich, as it has the HE already and 1 0r 2 settled GGs. Looking at medic II, pinch promoted marines from that city.
National Epic: Already in Berlin
Globe Theater: Any suggestions???
National Park: Since I have little forrests, perhaps I should wait and see which river side city has the worse polltuion?

Am I missing any??

Well enough for now, I am taking a break.

Hope everyone in enjoying the posting.
