Role Play Challenge: The Crusades!

The Crusades: Of the Ruin of the Sin Continent
we continued our Holy Crusades against the unbelievers, adding
Yep, adding Louie and his Pagan Vassal Zara.
As we are doing very well as far as staying away from a domination win, we decided to add a few peripheral lands to our empire
Yes, these French cities are close enough to Aztecia to keep.
Meanwhile our Holy Crusaders on the Continent of Sin continue their service to the Confuscian Lord!
We also send the army attacking the French islands off to that continent to bolster our valient Crusaders.
And as we approach the French core we see Paris
Is still held by Brennis AND has the vial AP!
While we moved our Crusading stack towards the Judaist Holy city we start allowing some of our cavalry and Cataphracts to excessively pillage all the lands. And believe me they kept busy all segment.
Pretty soon Paris and the Judaist Holy city are captured
AND RAZED!!!!!!!!!!!!
We did manage to get
Nice for that little extra happiness although we are doing very nicely there are we have little WW!
And soon after
Justinian postrates himself in a glow of divine observance praising the Confuscian god's for providing the knowledge for such a majestic weapon to use against the nasty Confiscian foes!
Now Louie adopted Confuscianism once he dropped to three cities. However, I really want that Sin Continent completely purged thus we kept up the attack.
Lou did not last much longer and soon another heathen was dead and buried, heading towards an eternity in hell!
Meanwhile, we launched a new stack of holy crusaders, after upgrading our entire fleet (we dropped the science slider to 0% for about 10 turns), against the Nasty spawn of the demon French
This land we whalt not burn, but add it to the Holy Empire of Byzantine.
Once again Byzantium is blessed
We immediately start building tanks and ICBMs laying everything along the Portugese border.
we knocked down another Wonder
The final heathen city on sin Continent is burned to the ground with only a few Barbarian and Portugese cities remaining.
Next the Ethiopians are eliminated.
And we track down the LAST Celtic city.
And sent the island up in flames.
We saved there, leaving Us, the noble Prtugese, and the vial and heathen Americans.

OK, how do we finish this off???
I say the Americans have to be eliminated first, knockout Joao's cities on Sin Continent and Aztecia, and mobilize our machines of destruction to towards the Portugese core lands!
The Ultimate Glory of the Confuscian Gods is on Hand!
By the way, I think it's poor tast to nuke a confuscian city, so I will limit ICBMs to non-Confuscian cities, Like the Taoist Holy city!

There will still be a few more false gods remaining in various captured cities, but that's a good idea.

The Crusades: The Glorious Ending!
Fear not my followers, for the Power of the Confuscian God has bestowed his judgement against thyne enemies! For the last of the heretics have been destroyed, and those who have forgotten the true faith have been directed to Attone for their sins and once again follow the true Faith!
Mine noble children have comne together in armies unnumerable for the final Glory, by Sea and by land including thou Holy Crusaders from the Continent of Sin, greta honor still awaits thee!
And Whilest the nobel Portugese followed the true faith for many a thousand years, they have recently fallen into debautery due to the Modern so called wonders of Radio and the evil ROCK and ROLL. Blashemous and while we shalt show restraint and mercy against our former followers, there is mush to attone for.
We begin by assaulting the Heretic founder of the Pagan Taoist religion
The Portugese are truely misled and declare war on us, fighting a false Jihad war and aligning themselves with the devil.
We release the Holy Handgrenade, dispersing not 2 and not 4, but three such devises. Three is the holy number, and three it shalt be!
By Holy decree, it is determined that the Taoist Holy city must recieve such a mighty blow!
We begin our assault on those Portugese cities, keeping many of these as we truely do not want to destroy such faithful citizans if there leader has been mislead.
The entire remaining continent blazed aglory as our Holy armies of Tanks destroyed all resistance and liberated those Confuscian followers.
The Americans However are truely Heathens and need to purged
However, thine enemy the Satan is strong in this upstart nation bringing numerous soldier out of the very earth to try and stop our Holy Mission. While we are slowed, we are not deterred.
The Continent of Sin still has several Barbarians trying to survive and live in wicked independecne without true Guidance. Our old, yet valient Holy Crusaders burn all that remains in that dreaded continent
Leaving nothing except a few roads on all this land!
Soon the Nobel Capital of the Portugese is Liberated from the yolk of Opression.
Be free my Children, for your hearts are now open once again to the sole direction you need!
But still Joao's heart is harened and will NOT adopt the true Faith. We decide he must see wisdom by the destruction and the creation of his hands.
And whilest Joao feels the full wroth of our Holy Crusaders our Holy army has landed and destroyed the LAST of the HOLY Cities
But there is much more work to be done.
Soon my people plead and pray to remove all the Holy handgrenades! They need such massive weapons and fear for the trapped true Confuscian followers in such cities, even those trapped in the vial American lands.
We grant them this favor, eliminating all ICBMs and granting great Happiness amongst mine people!
Soon, we apporach the last city of the Americans, the most despicable/detestable city of absolute sin and debauchery
Believe me all!!! I know, there is great evil and uncleanliness in this city. Nothing holy is hear, nothing but false gods and worship of mighty material things. Here we ended the last infestation of unclean ideas and false worship. The American dog Washington is dead as well as the heathen Americans.
At this point Noble Justinian is directed to contact Joao, offering peace, mercy and forgiveness if he will only come back to the Holy Light and worship once again the true faith.
The world rejoices as Joao accepts these terms, once again embrasing the true faith and dropping to his kness begging forgiveness! Very soon afterwards, merely one turn later.
The world is at peace, unified under the true faith.
All Pray for this glorious day, long fought and hard won. Many noble Crusaders gave their lives, but in the end it was well worth it.

Glad to see some other holy wars between Monty and Tokugawa, and Lou and Brennus soften everyone up!
And you really have to love playing a Crusades style game with an Imperilistic leader!
That is 11 Great Generals to lead our Holy Crusades! That is a personal record and wI would be interested if anyone ever got more than that!
And the Score and Polaroid
Rather low for a Conquest victory but it did go late!
So let's discuss, why we won (including those RPC rules!)
1) Early Destruction of Hammurabi in a chariot rush! Hammurabi is one of the toughest Ais to get an early rush on, but we got lucky with early Horses!
2) Cutting off Joao early on from ALOT of land. It took a while to get Confuscianism up and going and once Jaoa adopted it allowing open borders we had a big edge on cities
3) Speaking of WHICH, REX baby! A powerful way to play early and a well spread shrine to fund it!
4) We needed only one trading partner this game as Toku and Monty are poor techers while Brennus and Lou were at each other's throats because of "religious disagreements".
5) Razing an entire continent from Astronomy days through the modern era over and over again was just plain awesome! And 2 medic III units allowed us to use the same crusading force the entire game!
6) Once Brennus was attacked and broken I knew the game was over, but man sometimes this game is alot of fun playing out these games to the end!!!
Hope you all enjoyed the game! The whole Crusade flavor I hope added fun and did not offend anyone!
And I must say I think this was the best of the religious based games so far! Better than
Holy sal!

I believe so, although I may have left out a few straggling Mayan cities due to tediousness. 61% is pretty impressive here as I did not actively spread the religion after I got my core continent converted. On the other hand, when you raze all the other cities I guess Confuscianism is all that is left.
