The Songhai continued researching rifling for more miltiary. Meanwhile at the request of his advisors Askia explored the Constantinople region
So the city has flipped to the weak Greek leader. Still, Greece is not the top priority, the cutlural pressure is. Particularly after
The Gaul has been lost to Germany.
However Askia is not concerned because
Research begins on Steam Power followed by Assembly Line.
Trades are made with the weak Indians
And the Great General from the English/Irish wars is finally converted to a super medic
Preparing for a long series of nasty land wars.
As the world erupts in warfare, Askia assembles his troops
And notifies Bismark that his days are numbered as a world leader.
The Gaul is quickly ReConquered and the former French Leader regains his job as Taunter extreme.
Civics are changed to promote the military mindset of Askia
As the empire generally suffers. New oil is discovered but connectng these is rgeatly delayed due to Askia's war lust.
Bismark did manage to get a lacky to help him.
Shaka is a worthless barbarian leader, his few war elephants and trebs are quickly destroyed before any serious damage is done.
Bismark did provide some problems as he did have a good sized force of grenaders/cannons.Currassairs, however he suicided them trying to retake The Gaul.
A few turns of defense helped Songhai greatly and soon Shaka was willing to talk peace
Sure he should die soon, but askia was planning to take down Ramesses first.
Now Bismark's lands were ripe for picking
Germany's spirit was broken by this collpase but not so Bismark's.
First he negotaited a tolerable peace with Askia
And from his new capitol lectured Askia about his lack of empire organization. Surely a stronge industrialized nation would quickly overrun the world. Askia was intrigued and listened to Bismarks ideas, however there was some work to do first.
Some more trades were made
And Songhai adopted Emancipation.
The New World also provided somethings that the Songhai could use
Perhaps America would be difficult to subjugate later, but Askia does not look that far ahead, giant death robots will take care of that
As Songhai healed, a serious war erupted
Genghis and Mao continued to fall behind in tech as they went after each others throats, dragging their vassals into the fray. This was too grand a situation for Askia to ignore (note Willem's allegiance to Mao). So
Amsterdam was completely crushed.
Eliminating horrible culture pressure and bringing Willem to Askia for judgement. Askia found Willem boring and non-communitive so he simply let him govern the high commercial seaport that was once Amsterdam.
Askia's blood-lust was not sated just yet as the newly acquired German cities were under marsh culture pressure.
Askia research Fascism after Assembly line for the free GG, repositioned his troops
And declared war on the Russian tyrant.
Being badly beaten down from the east Stalin stood little chance against the SOnghai

Was simply razed as the culture from Charlemagne would make city management too difficult.
Oh, by the way, peace was made with the inese once Willem was captured.
Moscow was quickly captured
And Stalin was ready to negotiate peace

Askia paused to consider the German's proposal and the potential of an oil based land army. There was even rumor that German engineering could devise weapons in the air but Askia had reservations on that.
Cities were set to finish military, then industrialize.
And THAT is where Askia ended this segment!
So some serious infrastructure and perhaps a small war against Greece. THEN we shall see what Songhai can do with modern weapons of war!
