Yep, the only option was to invade DeGaulle which sort of would ruin the whole RPC aspect in my opinion. Hatty was ticked at the 2 declarations of war and the Mongol dogs were pretty war beaten, notice DeGaulle did not capture many Khan cities to avoid the we cannot vote ourselves a diplomatic win. DeGaulle played the game well.

There's a tick box for it in the graphics tab on the options screen (Ctrl+O). I'm not in game now so I'm not sure exactly what one it is.
