RPNES- Adventures in Ansei

Seeing the creature walking towards him, Circon grabbed some parchments and ran.
As he passed into the Dreamworld, everything drifted away as if a wind was blowing ancient dust apart.
What was left of the cave ended, and he walked onto a... circle... of grass, hanging in a black void. He couldn't really fall off, though. He tried, and kept walking around on the circle of grass, about twenty paces wide.
He gazed up at the 'sky'. It was filled with things strange and wondrous that darted across the sky. Pinpricks of light, close stars, small dragons and all manner of shapes.

With any luck, the creature would be too stupid to follow him here. He sat down and brought out his parchment.

While this place is commonly known as the Dreamworld, it's true name is the 'Land of Spirits'. He had read that. His glance scanned further down.
The Greatest. There. -holds no true power, either over the 'Land Of Spirits', or over the real world. But he can grant it to others, and this- Ciron broke off. He was not interested in applying to another for power.
He removed his mindblock, feeling safer.

A two-headed, four-armed, green-skinned thing shaped vaguely like a person wandered by. It started waving all four arms at him. Circon instinctively guessed that its intentions were hostile and that it was going to cast a spell at him, so he flung a dart at it with all his might. He wished he had something bigger, like a bow, or atleast throwing knives.
In mid-air, the dart turned into a knife. It sunk into the creature up to the hilt, and caused it to collapse.
But the creature seemd far from dead. It plucked out the bloody knife and gazed intently at Circon.
"Newcomer here?" it said? "Figures. You can't kill anyone, here in the Land of Spirits. Only... ". It turned away and disappeared as it walked off the edge.
But Circon was thinking of the dart that turned into a knife... Suddenly he thought of a sword. An ephemeral, shimmering one appeared on the grass. He reached for it, and it disappeared.
