RR-01 World Conquest

I'll be gone from Wednesday to Sunday, although the turns take long enough that that shouldn't be a problem.

too right, sorry im taking so liong, but they do take ages.

1610AD disconnect tenochtitlan.
1620AD take tenochtitlan and raze ashur.
1630AD celts declare war against us
1635AD i believe that all the aztec saltpeters are disconnected. i disconnected the one by tlacopan, and i cant find any other, the one up north is in mayan land, dunno if it always was etc.
1645 razed the 2 cities east of tenochtitlan.

i think i took/razed around 6 cities overall, niot the best turns but yknow, i ve made progress. i may have played 1 turn to little, im not sure

Actually, TheMole, I think you made pretty good progresses. :goodjob:

Boy, we were lucky with Yaxchilan becoming Mayan (I would guess a flip, not a war). Unfortunately, that means they have 2 saltpeters and will probably sell one to the Aztecs. Since we are at war with the mayans also, we might as well disconnect that one too to prevent trades.

I see TheMole decided not to keep an incense city. A good decision considering we don't need any more lux.

I usually starve conquered cities until they are size 1 or the required garrison is down to 1 or 2. I suggest we continue to starve those previously aztecians cities so they learn to respect their new masters. :crazyeye:

theres a shipload of riflemen by the saltpeter (and aztec coal). i didn't bother waiting for the army.
ah well, i guess i made progress but i admit the death count was quite high..... not that it matters much any more

got it, but won't play until tomorrow

Highlights:

1645 - switched some more productive cities from wealth to cavs

ibt: we lost an army (they sent 5 cavs after it)

1650 captured Trondheim with Hanging gardens, ToA, and Sun Tzu's AND disconnected/captured the Aztecs last 2 sources of horses.

ibt: lost stack of rifle/immo going after 2nd Mayan saltpeter source.

1690ibt: Babylonians rop raped us and dow by attacking. We didn't lose any troops

1695: got a Great Leader and made an army. Set up to attack Babs capital next turn. Have some troops shipping on automove to the town we have on the Bab island. (may even have some other galleons on automove)

Overall:

captured 7 Aztec towns
settled some towns to keep from having Aztec cavs attack from the empty areas with enormous attack ranges.
Secured some grapes and incense
Most mainland workers are on automove.
Laying down rail lines in former Aztec territory.
The Aztecs are pretty much out of gas.
Watch for Mayan cavs, they have a rop with Aztecs and can attack from the fog.

Send the riflemen army toward Camulodunum to disconnect the saltpeter.
Use a few extra workers as bait and it works (draws cav in the open)

1735AD (8)
Raze Tizal
Conquer Yaxchilan to remove one source of saltpeter.
Hurry another army.
Conquer Lugdunum
1740AD (9)
Nothing much.
1745AD (10)
Raze Bonampak

6 cav armies are ready to attack Palenque and almost 50 cav are ready to attack Entremont next turn. I made the mistake of forgetting the island east of that continent and 5 galleons just started going in that direction. The riflemen army was going to disconnect the saltpeter, but the attack force is moving as fast as this army, so do whatever you want with it.

I would be very surprise if the game does not finish in this round.

wake up some galleons and send them over to the island

Here is the ending save if you want to see the ending stuff. Just kill the jag and the Aztec settler and end the turn.
