RTOR NES 8- Realism

Russia

The war against Fennia was going well.
The Russian armies had only victories and the huge numbers of Russian Archers and wariars and even several groups of Spearomen have reported only conquering.

The new tribes under Russian rule were happy.
The chief exapted the new elders into the Great tribe of Russia.
The new tribes also desided to join the Russian army.

The war was to be continued until Fennia will be destructed.

A long time ago, the Pharaoh's feet were burning on the hot sand. The wind blew sand into his face. Yet, in the distance was a river. The Nile River. The river which would turn Egypt from a tribe of wandering nomads, to an Empire of great wealth and power. The Pharaoh led his thirsty band of wanderers with great enthusiasim to the life-giving waters. The people ran to the river. They were happy. Their fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers were nomads. No longer would this continue. No longer would Egypt's feet tread the sands beyond the Nile. The people would no longer suffer of thirst. And their camels no longer would complain about their toiling journies. The foundation for Egypt had been laid. An Empire was born!

DIPLOMACY
From Fennia
To Russia:
We will not rest and we will not sleep until EVERY RUSSIAN ON THIS PLANET HAS BEEN KILLED!

ORDERS:
I'll PM them later..

...Whatta hell, I might just as well post orders & stuff right here.

STORY:

It was getting cold, but the central bonfire of the city of Petrolinna was nicely warming up the hands of Per Brahe, High Shaman of the Petrolinna tribe and Chairman of the entire Fennian Tribal Council. He did not want to be in Petrolinna on this cold night, but there were some issues that needed to be solved out. One was the fact that former friends of Fennia, the Russians, had attacked for no reason. Per Brahe was just standing there, watching the beautiful northern lights that he could see, when suddenly a messenger came.
"Sire, representives of southern tribes are unable to come to your meeting! Russians have killed them!" said the messenger.
"Those... brutal murderers! But not to worry, I might have a plan which might save us, I will reveal it in the upcoming council meeting..."

BRAHE'S GREAT BATTLE PLAN:

[secret]
Since we do not have defensive UU's, there is no reason for us to engage on defensive battles. So, wait for Russian troops to approach, and then simply retreat - or, make it seem like it. Let the Russians come hunt after us; let them come all the way to the difficult terrain of southern Karelia, where mud and swamps should slow them down. Let them think that Fennian soldiers are running away because of fear, so the Russian generals will become careless and overconfident.
Then - regroup! I have ordered new soldiers to be created in Petrolinna area, dress them well and attack the (hopefully) surprised Russians who have no proper clothing for bad terrain conditions. Attack them with ALL armies, including my axe-hakkapelita-UU's (who are supposed to be specialised on offense) and drive the Russians back all the way to Kiev!! :)
[/secret]

ORDERS:
[secret]
Grow army with 1 population (that makes it grow 2 times, right?) and place it several douzen miles north from current frontlines. Dress them properly and teach them how to deal with the extermely difficult terrain/weather conditions of southern Karelia. Then, use the battle plan described above.
[/secret]

ORDERS
expand
grow army

STORY
Our army is almost complete, cackled the bony military advisor.
GOOD shouted china444!
But, there was a flaw, while some gamma radiation testing, we accidentaly created a man that changes into a beast when he gets angry. We call him the hulk. He can lift over 50 tons, and jump over 3 miles. ;) jk

OOC
Both Russian war plans and Fennia war plans say "Retreat, let them come"...
So will there be even battles? or just advances?
And who's plan it's better? my hide and attack (a plan that is taken from an animal that lived more than 65 milioins years ago) or his retreat, break a part and than suddenly group and attack togheter the much bigger armies of Russia?

OOC:

The strategy I use might seem a bit funny funny to you, but it has worked in real life. Take winter war for instance; Russia attacks Finland with an army that is 7 times bigger than Finland's (just like you are attacking Fennia with a bigger army). The Finns start by quickly retreating, and the Russians start rampaging. But not for long; suddenly, Finnish ski troops (i.e. UU's specialized on offence, just like my UU's in this battle ;)) start using the difficult weather/terrain conditions for their advantage (that was also an important aspect in my strategy) and quickly turn to attack. The reason why this kind of counter-attack was succesful was partly because of the "home advantage" that Finland had in Winter War (i.e. terrain conditions), but more than that the reason for the success of this strategy was surprise. It didn't matter that the enemy had an army 7 times bigger than Finland's; actually, that was a benefit for Finland because the last thing that the Soviets expected in that war was a counter-attack, which is why it worked so well.

Now, I'm not saying that this plan of mine should work in this NES only because it once worked in real life. I'm just saying that it's not necessarily such a bad plan afterall even though it might sound a bit crazy at first...

update tomorrow, i need Plexus' and Warman's warplans, unless they want me to control it :satan:
