Ruff09: Which Improvement?

Wouldn't the purple road not be valid since it's 4 tiles long? Or am I missing something?
Actually - the yellow roads are 4 tiles long too - I updated my post to say '4' instead of '3'.

Yes, we have met everyone. There are 17 opponents left and we know them all. Our Great Scientist is merged as a super-specialist (+1 hammer!). I also changed my BUG set up so that the scoreboard shows the number of cities - and this isn't 'cheating' as you can determine that from the unmodded game by opening the diplo screen (Ctrl-Click on a leaders name).

fred0174.jpg

As you can see, some AIs already have 3 cities. We had a few events ... firstly, a forest growth at our capital ... beautiful!

fred0175.jpg

And then ...

fred0177.jpg

I also found another hut ... see log for what I got. I adjusted our EP spending ... I upped the weighting on everyone to 1 and then reduced the weighting to zero on leaders that we can see demo stats for. Please try and keep an eye on this as the game progresses. I whipped out settler when there was 40 hammer overflow, sent him over to found on the iron and then let the Henge complete naturally ...

I teched up to alphabet and stopped - the next player can have fun with tech trades. Note that we are slowly bleeding coin at 6 per turn due to corporation costs.

Nice going on the fake creative trait!

hmm ok so iron means we cannot push a town on the close by marble. Guess just skip slingshotting effing code then eh?

Seems Currency is a no brainer here as next tech as anything closer to code is the win.

As for next town, nothing looks good haha. On the silver to the north means no food tiles like rice nor close river is ugly.

Bananas directly south of capital for an amazing bfc but it's currently 100% jungle.

Meh. Least we have farging IW.

Those massed floods in the west are a different kind of horror haha.

BTW imo nuke the farm west of the forest as we are no where close to running that tile and are hampering forest spread

I am pretty sure that it is already in v3.6. You need to edit your options to include a code to get it to display. The secret code (revealed in the hover too) is 'Q'. Add a Q to your list and it should auto-display.

I was told by ruff to have fun with tech trades- well that was the most exciting time of my life! I got Fishing for Mysticism! I don't even remember who to! Other than THAT there was absolutely nothing to trade except for Meditation and Polytheism. Turns so far are nothing but hitting the good old enter button. Noble is just too easy- we have writing and/or Alphabet on EVERYONE.

So I hit enter. And do so till Justinian demands HBR, and I decline.

THEN I hit enter until a worker builds a farm for the next city, near the Silver. Woohoo!!!!

I had to stop this round at 1/2 because I had a HUGE event happen to me, the most exciting thing bound to happen in the BCs...

Punch them in the face!! DONT THEY UNDERSTAND???!?!?!?!?!! Should I burn it or be unethical and keep it?

I will listen to advice, then continue the round

Okay, I assumed the answer is BURN IT!!! so I did.

Continued.

Well, I burnt a pig. Wooop-zee-zoo. NOTHING ELSE HAPPENED. At turn I got this, and so I ended. This was a painfully unexciting round. Ah well, my next one is an ad.

On T257 though, we got a Prophet, despite 70% odds to the scientist. Darn it!

Well, what do we do with our swell GP? He can Settle (5g2h) or Bulb (Meditation), so I believe settle in ???

Next Player: You will note a Barb Archer in our borders, as well as a Barb Uprising just effected, I have no idea who to.

Buy the pasture was the right call. Did you leave the road there too?

Liq has no time to read the turn sorry but one thing got my attention.. We cannot raze roads within cultural boundaries. Only way to fix it is via world builder and I vote no to World builder addiction. Imo raze the pasture and well we keep the road, just count it as Divine intervention we cannot do anything about.

I can play tonight so consider this a got it.

Cheers!

Okay. Accidental roads cannot be pillaged (WTH??). So we will have to deal with it.

Liq, there wasn't much to see really. I got a great prophet, that was all I did.

Two uses for that great profit I can see; Settle or Shrine.

Settle is obvious... hammers and gold whee. 2 hammers 5 raw gold.

Shrine because we are so probably grabbing confusion from Code of Laws aren't we?

In retrospect it's not even farging close huh.. settling for the hammers alone is just insane boffo goodness with a twist of real lemon zest. Never mind the early corporation fighting gold eh?

I'll settle the Great Profit unless someone objects in the next few hours.

Going to try and pop another worker after the granary finishes, barbs willing.

Cheers!

Settle the GP ofc. You could have expected it with building SH... Saving him for bulbing anything would be a waste - you won't get decent trade opportunities... What about a theo beeline, for theocracy and AP (hammers)?

REXing it is now :)

Totally agree - set tech on CoL and pump those settlers out. Iron city should be our military pump, while other cities do settlers and workers.

uh rather another worker before a settler considering the amount og pain each town is to unearth.

Thinking next town should be the Bananas's to the south or silver to the north? Like the bananas south more actually.

Cheers!
