The requirements are:
1) You must have your own legal copy of CIV for DOS.
2) CD writer.
3) Floppy disk drive.
4) Be able to UN-ZIP files.
5) Download a few files from the Internet.
The idea is to make a bootable CD. Using various free downloads, some old shareware programs. The evaluation version of an ISO program (maybe you will like it so much you will purchase it). Some programs I wrote to tie it all together. I have modified CIV$ to save the MAP & SVE files to floppy or FAT drive.
I have it working. It boots up and loads CIV onto a RAM-drive and runs it there. I got so tired of the slow movements in the various Windows environments (even Dosbox). The instructions will be cookbook style, no theory just the steps to do it. The poll is to see how much interest there is in this.
