S-07 The Fishermens' Shuttle

Any updates sunrise089?

Ehh...I can probably play tonight, but feel free to skip/swap me if you want.

Right now my Civ PC has it's shiny (OK, it's actually covered in thermal compound) new CPU installed....and that's about it. So after class tonight, I need to install XP, Civ, and BtS. I can forgo overclocking my system until after my turnset, but I still cannot 100% guarantee I will post tonight.

On the bright side, I'll be able to compare fast single-core versus slow dual-core performance this way, so there's a bit of a silver lining...

10 more turns played. I focussed on military, since it would cramp our style to be declared upon. Tanks mainly.

Techwise we picked up plastics, artillery, rocketry and started satellites.

Wonderwise we finished Rock&Roll and Broadway. We started Christo Redentor, 3Gorges and Apollo Program.

We got yet another spy which I didn't know what to do with. Once we get a non-spy, non-scientist we should set off a golden age.

Keep building those units! A temple or jail here or there will make very little difference, but some tanks could be very useful should the worst occur.

Looking good....

We'll get a GP in 3 turns in Ollantaytambo, with a +/- 80% possibility on not being a GS, so ( if it is not a GM, that I strongly advice to use it for Sushi corp ) next player will ( most likely ) get a GA, a thing that will push our lead even higher. About the army fattening: not very needed ( only JC and QSH have a bigger power and most likely their power come out of technologically displaced units ) but always welcome...

Turn 0: I promote our great general knight to a cav for free.

Turn 1: I automate or idle most of our workers - no need to keep them active when everything is improved.

Turn 2: Satellites in, I start computers (heading towards Space Elevator). Spread Mining, Inc into Stuttgart. Eiffel Tower is in. GE is born - I'll save him for the Elevator.

Turn 5: We get a random event that didn't scale very well to game date.

Turn 6: Computers is in, Robotics started.

Turn 7: Shoot! I didn't realize my game was set to Executives start automated. I guess we now have mining inc in a city :(

Turn 8: I get to watch the Christ the Redeemer video for the first time.

redeemorhj2.jpg

Turn 10: Robotics is in. I pick a random tech, but we can switch it to whatever since no turns are in. Apollo is also done. I start Space Elevator. I also start S.S. Docking Bay.

We now have an army:

EDIT: Oops - first game after a reinstall of XP, so I forgot to turn on resample on the image conversion program. Sorry the pics are ugly.

I can't promise to play tonight. If I don't post a got it in the next 7 hours, dl123654 please feel free to move on.

Peaceful (for us, Rome declared on Korea) turnset.

Power caused starvation here and there, built hospitals/public transports
Fisher_30.JPG

The first GM constructed Sid's Sushi as discussed before. I sent the first executive to China on the last turn, still can be called back if we want to spread this corporation to our cities first.

The second GM is sleeping in the capital waiting for a GA.

In AD1880 there was an AP voting for 'stop the war with Wang Kon', I voted Yes.
Traded with Rome, Germany and China for lots of gpt.
Deleted some obsolete units (archers, axe, triremes) to save money.
Built some navy too, not only tanks and MIs. We are at the top of the power graph. :goodjob:

Maybe it's right time to kick off the next Golden Age, 2 turns from finishing Space Elevator and we can start building SS Thrusters effectively. Be sure to select the Engineer and a Spy (and a third one). We will have another Engineer from Fusion soon. We need around 20 turns of research (not taking into account the boost from GA) from now to be able to finish Space Ship. So it was probably my last turnset. Good luck.

Quiet turnset all around.

Got to fusion then did genetics and half of composits. Still need laser and ecology.

Started the golden age after Space elivater finished. Grouped a spy, engineer and merciant for the golden age but that didn't work and the game choose the spy merciant and scientist :dunno: golden age still has 7 turns and we still have 2 spies and 2 engineers.

Economy wise spread a lot of execs in our cities, couldn't spread it to anyone else because the world is communist, any city building space parts is getting a mining exec while all cities are getting a sushi exec. Running a lot of cities on wealth. Killed off any units that are pre gunpowder units saving 50gpt.

On turn 10 we took a square with a chinese town so it was razed and a worker is on auto go to there.

Next person should be able to finish the game, sorry no screen shots my computer was crying enough as it is.

Turn 0 – Made a deal with JC ( he was going to finish it next turn)
Spoiler :
JCdeal19000000.jpg

We got a GA ( will bomb ex-incan capitol... no way we’ll get 2 more GP until we launch )

Turn 3 – We got a nice event:

First of all, I would like of thanking to the whole team, whose fine play made this SG easier than I thought that it would be.... in spite of our dear friend QSH decided to spice a little the grand finale ;) ...
Second, I would like to thank sooooo for organizing this. It was a fun SG to play ....
Third, you can count with me for any kind of sequel or rerun :goodjob:

Woohoo!

Thanks for a pain-free game everyone and your quick speed of play. It was a fun, but I'm going to have to say "I told you so" for not playing at emperor. I would like to replay this on emperor without the victory type restriction, but possibly not straight away.
