Seems pale a bit. I don't know whether "I don't :/" meant for the current preview, but I'd say color scheme from the previous set was good (based on the red), may be improved.
Not sure about secondary houses... Guys (who knows mesoamerican culture well), what's your opinion?

I think both versions look really good. They're different, but one's not better than the other. They could both be useful for a Mesoamerican mod like to differentiate city-states.

The problem is it may look too similar to your Maya set. A suggestion would be to make the Maya pyramids red to distinguish them from the Aztec sets:

I told about Mayan bottom img red color. But it's about the Aztec, so it doesn't seem like a color to work with.

I was suggesting to re-release the mayan set with res pyramids, and have the Aztecs be grey with blue, red and grey lines like in the pictures.

It would be cool (and probably totally unrealistic) to have some blood stains on the steps of the Aztec temples!
