Sana04 - RAR Spaceship, trainingish game

I numbered them in order of my pref. Where the unnumbered dots go in somewhere... But did not feel they were -that- important...

Tho looking at it now the jungle dot (SE of 1) and #8 should be high-ish priority realy as they are on a river ===> Grow big 'fast'

#1 Did not know about desert ... Kewl... thats good to know
#2 IMO should stay where it is... Coffee can be had Near Peagem without culture.
#5 (after expansion) will have 3 fish-ies to work...
#6 Has Wheat (and fish after expansion) and brings horses

I Purposly skipped roading the Iron Hill, did not know if we wanted to hook that up yet. Tho it will not be 'ours' untill either #5 expands or Wonsan does so twice.

Spacing: There are a lot of tiles per town in the South, less in the north... Not really balanced..

Also the 2 black squares in my map remain unworked... I couldnt really get it working without any lost tiles.

Also the hill E-E of wanson is unworked, as is the crab just SE of it.

Shoot the roster we changed that later right ??? !!! *checking*

Sorry for quoting the wrong roster :(

[Student cap]
Did i prioritize properly in the techs?
=> Was C.E. the right choice given that Poly allready knew it? In the end this didnt waste beakers because of timing .... but ...
=> Same for IW, wasted a turn researching this....
Did I do right this time in trading the techs we were researching?

I think all cities >= pop 4 should build a Pioneer next?!
That includes Cheju and Inch'on
IIRC Cheju is very low on food and Inch'on is very food rich.

When in doubt, think like the A.I. then do something different. The A.I. prioritize's government techs, production boosting techs, and new unit techs. Wonders factor in there somewhat. So IW and C.E. are very high priority AI techs. I will try and play tonight even.

IHT: Pretty dang good.
Turn 1: Mali builds stonehenge.
Turn 2: Building to our strengths. We really need to concentrate on our strengths, wisemen and counselors. We really didn't have much of each, and we really need to make use of them.
Turn 3: We learn Dark ages as our freebie. Start vassalage to get the best defenders possible for a whole age.
Kind of a blur here.
Get vassalage, start on theology so we can build Angkor Wat in Wonsan.
We get theology, start on naval warfare due in 1. Yay. Rome got it and dropped the time to 1.

Dang it I goofed. We needed a shrine there first. Wonson goes to the FP which will be huge anyway. Seoul is building the Academy.
Keep pumping counselors and wiseman. I am only a wiseguy though.

Enjoy everyone.

Saving the Game from being bottom of the paged...

Sorry for the delay

0)50AD Looking good. Change a build or two.

1)70AD Naval warfare >> Warrier code [3]
Romans build embassy, Americans build Sphinx, Romans build great wall

2)90AD
3)110AD
4)130AD Warrier Code>>Feudalism [3]
Wonsan Builds FP >> Temple (we could grab Chichen Itza quite easily)

Why do we have so many slave markets in towns that can't even use them yet? Get base sheilds up first then build a SM

5)150AD
6)170AD
7)190AD Feudalism>>Crop Rotation [3] We probably will want to revolt at some point (democracy should be 1 turn quite soon) I'll leave that up to the next player though.

8)210AD
Found Chonju on the W coast.

9)230AD Seoul: The Academy>>Palace Gardens [5] its still early enough to get some tourism out of it.
Maliense complete the Pyramids

10)250AD
Crop Rotation >>Invention [3]
Found Sariwon on the north FP, start on monument to quickly pull in the sugar.
Pioneer by Pusan probably should go to the forest by the crabs in the far north, then we should turn our settling southwards to get the iron/gold/horses/Olive Oil.

There are a number of good wonders currently available - the Oracle, Ankor Wat (though Wonsan is the only shrine in the empire) and Chichen Itza (once Hyangsan has finished its temple) are all good to have.

I would build Angkor Wat in Wonson, then build the Oracle there, then the big chicken.

Got it.
Will play later, maybe someone can give me some advice till then?
Mainly on research and trades.

I would research to guilds, as guild halls are useful. I would build Angkor Wat first, then the Oracle. The Oracle gives us 2 freebie techs, which can be democracy and another optional tech. We want to be a Democracy, as it is a much cooler government than monarchy.
Other than that, push science and shields in our core cities.
Our goal is to keep to ourselves until roughly tanks, then make Rome and Polynesia cease to exist.

Uhm ... optionals as freebees ??? dont think thats within the spirit of the rulez of this SG...

from page 1 said:
Additional: There is only 1 way for us to get optional techs: We must research every last beaker of them ourselves, in 1 turn only. Can't trade for them, can't get them as free techs via philo, oracle, etc, can't self research if it takes longer than 1 turn.

Actually not within the rulez period

Freebie optional tech is :nono:, romeo. Agreed on both points made in the post though, about guilds and wonders.

Yeah, guild halls are good. Surprised that Oracle hasn't been built by the AI yet, if we can sneak it in for a couple of expensive techs, that would be good. Agree on keep getting the core improved too, and get our island filled.

No major changes, so no pictures.

T1

Paegam: Wiseman -> forge

T2

Manpo: Wiseman -> counselor

T3

Invention completed. I didn`t go for guilds, because we have our gold not yet connected, so we couldn`t build them anyways. Instead I research milling.

T4

Suvom founded at the crabs. Starts harbour.

Interturn: Someone (I think it was england) buildt the collossus.

T5

Milling finnishes, now I go for guilds. Need heraldry first, so that is researched.
The city that buildt the colossus switched to windmil.
Seoul: Gardens -> shrine (has some happiness issues)

T6

/

T7

Heraldry completed. However, we still have no gold, so I squeeze seafaring in. Ports and major ports are very nice improvements (it`s optional, but 1 turn research)

Seoul: Shrine -> windmill
Paegam: Forge -> hardy (I think this city is developed enough to benefit from the lower population cost of the hary)
Chonju: Counselor -> wiseman

T8

Discovered seafaring, go for democracy (another oneturner)
Hyansang: Temple -> granary (with all this banans, it has both growth and production. Might become a settler factory for the south)
Kaesong: Counselor -> harbour (to get the port for border expansion)

T9

Democracy finnished, still no gold, so usury next.
Pyonjang: Windmill -> hardy
Pusan: Courthouse -> granary
Incion: Forge -> harbour (also for the port)
Taejon: Pioneer -> granary
Manpo: Counselor -> forge

T10

Cheju: Harbour -> port
Ulsam: Watermill -> windmill
Pyonsong: Barracks -> harbour

I didn`t revolt because I wanted our wonder to complete first. Rhe next player might want to switch to democracy.
We are currently running a deficit, but will soon connect the sugar, wich could allow us to reduce lux.
