Scenario Review Updates

Hey guys, how come the Scenario Reviews section is no longer updated? I always enjoyed reading them and it's not like people stopped making (good) scenarios, so what's the problem?

Okay, what I know now which I apparently did not know before posting is that anyone can summit a scenario review. But even so, why the stop in scenario reviews? In any case, I think the reviewing aspect of civ2 scenarios is just as important as the scenario making itself. The reviews really helped to give the civ2 scenarios a sense of artistic progression. Oh well.

Uhm.. it's not dying at all.. you're wrong.. some o the best scenarios has just been released and are yetto come.. You just have to know where to look.. Too bad this site isn't so active

Yeah, Poly is alot more active then this place.

There aren't any new reviews there either though. The problem is simply that nobody takes the time to write reviews.

Personally I simply don't have any spare time to write reviews, at least not on a regular basis. I contributed two reviews a long time ago. If and when I play something I like enough to spontanously pour it out on paper, I'll write more. But the few hours I got to myself with civ2, goes into my own (much too neglected, I might add) scenario projects.

It is true that getting people to review a scen is tricky, i resultied to (mostly) subtle begging so as to achieve that for my own scen (still trying) but at least civ2 creating isnt dead yet

You are all wrong. I submitted a review of Martian Dawn three times and its not been updated even though the scenario section has been updated several times in the period inbetween.

As for the speculation as to why the review section is dead.......that's pretty complicated but it has something to do with the birth of the civ2 PBEM forum.
