SCENARIO: "World War II - 1941 AD" on the complete world map for C3C

@ Al Lowe -
I would have to say thats not necessarily true...we didnt really have alot of war weariness (at least not the type simulated in civilization) during that war.

There were more workers strikes during the 1941-1948 period of the United States than in any other time in her history. People simply aren't happy if you ration their food, materials, and draft/send their males to a war that they half heartedly believe in.

Though for game play purposes war wariness should be rather minimal. One should also consider the short length of time of WW2 in comparison with CivTime. It was a rather fast war, with (most) fronts changing drastically from year to year. Ultimately collapsing the instigator countries holdings to minimal in 4 years.

The democratic/republican nations had to act quickly to keep war wariness from really setting in is how I perceive the real world actions if converted to Civ.

May I suggest giving the Democracy government some war weariness? I say this not only for historical accuracy but also to balance the game. By taking away war weariness for Democracy it sort of becomes the ultimate best government, and thus would make the Allies too powerful.

Well, there is still a lot of corruption making the Allies less powerful, especially the British Commonwealth, which is widely spread. It's a real handicap, as their cities in Australia, South Africa and West Canada have very reduced production.

However, I had tried to give them at least a little war weariness, but after some turns already, it runs that violent that it's just no fun playing as them anymore. So I decided to exclude it.

What he said!! :-)

Hey could you possibly import this file onto the TETurkan map by any chance? If not could some one make the same exact map on the TETurkan scenario! And this scenario IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey gr8 looking mod can you still build settlers? if not do u know how i put settlers in?
Reason is just in case i play longer than the amount of turns the orginal senerio is.

(im just useless at winning thats all!:crazyeye: )

This is without a doubt one of the funnest scenarios I have ever played. It's eating up all my time! I don't have any real complaints. I love how it's hard to conquer cities and how you chose what civs to put in and who's in the locked alliances. As Germany I'm happily on my way to conquering the Medit. Sea and the British Isles. I'm enjoying that it takes at least a bit of strategy to conquer and I LOVE THE FACT THAT BOMBERS CAN ACTUALLY DESTROY!! Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Playing this scenario, I get a big problem.

As soon as I kill my first enemy unit -- and I think my unit is about to be made a Veteran -- the program becomes unresponsive. Is it just calc-ing? Just for a unit upgrade?

I've got a 2.6G Pentium 4.

Mine became unresponsive while still loading. I was playing as Spain/Portugal.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I have a problem with this mod, and all of the others made by the author of this file.

When I download them, I save them to my Civ III folder, not in any specialty folders like scenarios. That's worked for the other mods like the political mod, but when I go to load Age of Imperialism 1904, this one, or Cold War 1961 at the Civ III main menu the folder is empty. Could anyone give me any suggestions on how to fix this problem? These mods look great and I can't wait to play them.

First off don't F#$@ with your files if you don't know what you are doing........ But just uninstall it and reinstall it if that don't work.....trail and error is all the advice I can give you

Hi! You're scenario is great! :goodjob: I played as Germany and got all the way to Singapore.
I have a question though could I use this scnario as a base to make another scenario. I would give you credit of course and I can give you details if you like.
Thanks in advance. :goodjob:

How many minutes must i wait to play this scenario

It takes about 5 minutes to initialize on my 1.8 GHz/512 MB RAM.

So I really don't expect it to take much longer on your computer, and I would take every bet it won't take more than 15 minutes.
