Science Forum in the Colosseum

I propose that a Science Forum should be added to the Colosseum. I have seen one too many science threads die an early death in OT, which is obsessed with questions about Iraq and annoying questions like "what is your favorite side to sleep on?"..

I believe such a forum will encourage intelligent debate as World History does now. The scope for such a forum is huge... everything from dna research to Quantum physics and string theory!

I think OT does need to be split a final time for this topic...and i'd leave those creation vs evolution debates in the science forum(in science forum the creationists might learn a thing or two!).. They should not hinder the Science forum. If it does turn out to be a problem, then we should deal with it later..

TF decsion is final. He clearly said OT is fine as it is. And if he said no to splitting political topics then I doubt you will have much luck with science.

I support this idea - as I'd said in the earlier thread for the same proposal.

Had there not being a History forum fr the earliest days of CFC, the history threads too will suffer much the same fate as the science threads do now.

I still think its unlikely that OT will split further but I can see the appeal as other forums that have split from OT have been successful.

Personally I'd rather see a politics forum created than a science one. Or how about a writing forum?

But OT is fine as it is now. It may get a little clustered from time to time, but overall I like it.

OT is politics! Plus a political topic is far harder to classify than a science topic...
