Screenshot analysis!

The other problem with a conquest (eliminate all rivals) victory is that it's almost always anti-climactic; you reach a point at which you've got like two-thirds of the cities and the game is already won, but you've still got 3 capitals to capture. It's just boring.

That's the problem with the % domination condition. You're already bound to win by the time you get to the size of 3 Civs, but you still have to complete a victory condition.

At least you CAN snipe the capitals. You don't have to take their whole Civ for the land.

You're looking at it backward.

I think the Settler Lense is bit misleading. It does not display locations for good cities, it displays locations with the best access to water. Green being adjacent to rivers and I think Oases and Lakes, and Fainter Green displaying access at coasts.

I think it is bit misleading since it does not actually display good settler areas, but simply, which areas have the best water access.

It still has the little city Icon on best places too. I think this has only been shown in the livestream that shall not be named, but I noticed it in that build.

I hope there's some form of diplomatic domination (some late-game form of vassals) where you could be counted as "controlling" your ally without having to actually conquer it.

I think they missed a chance in Civ5 where civs that shared your ideology and that you were culturally dominant over should have given extra benefits, like being forced to vote for you in a diplomatic victory. I'd like to see something like that in Civ6, maybe in an expansion.

The new Spain video shows Jakarta as a City-state and at 1:42 gives a new glimpse of what has been identified as the Galapagos (Isabela and Fernandina)...

Also shows Kumasi as a city-state, right after the Galapagos.

The end of the Spain video has the best look at the religious lens so far. Bordeaux has 5 Catholic (orange), 2 Islam (green) and 2 non-religious (clear) population with their relative levels indicated in the circular meter. This build also has numbers next to the religion meters, with Bordeaux showing 5 Catholic and 2 Hinduism with the same colors mentioned above. Valencia is showing 11 Catholic and 0 Islam suggesting it has pressure from Islam, but no followers yet.

Spoiler :

The circle meter appears to have a "pulse" animation--expanding circle drawn inside the circle. Can see it for Barcelona @ 1:32.

I hadn't noticed this before, but you can collapse the minimap area. Closed @ 1:15 and Open @ 1:35.

Interesting thing from Part 5 of continuing French Revolution video.

They are trying to build Great Library, and they do have a suitable spot - flatland next to Campus with Library. However, game does not allow them to build it there. They figure out why - they previously tried to build a Stonehenge there, which was stopped after 1 turn since somebody else built it.

They also figure out solution - it needs to be removed by Builder using "Salvage Wonder" function. And it does take a Builder charge.

I don't know about the rest of you but I really like this.

Yeah, it's nice. I guess you don't get the cash anymore you'd get in civ5 then? It also explains why the oracle construction site remained in quill18's video, I always wondered about that.

I'm guessing it's a bug from the early build, but this feature really should have a part-completed wonder graphic so you know there's something blocking you.

Yeah, I'm wondering if they implemented a quick work-around fix (given that the Salvage Wonder has no proper icon)

It's possible, as I realised in Quill, that unfinsihed wonders could be used as a free-artefact dig sites, it would be nice, especially if you needed say 25% or more production given to each wonder (to prevent spamming) and that you can't switch locations of wonders (so you can't start Pyramids in Cannes and then realise that Paris has better production and move Pyramids there)

Yes this was interesting. I like it better than just giving free fail gold! However you should get something, it appeared they got nothing, but maybe just cos they had only put 1 turn into it (also the bug that there was nothing displayed on the tile is possibly cos it was cancelled so soon)

So trying and failing a wonder is actually punished? No gold compensation when some one beat you to it at all? this makes wonders a lot more risky.
