The start of my second attempt at the Northeastern scenario in Railroads. It appears to be going well: I managed to link Washington, Philly, and New York within the first nine years, and my bank account is currently just over a million. Right now I'm trying to resist the urge to mess up a system that's functioning so well by expanding unnecessarily. The all-important passenger line from New York to Washington runs on its own track at the moment; that line runs across the river from Trenton. This shot was taken before I established the route, though.

All the final goods are produced in the city itself (for example, for communicators, the microchip and communicator factories are somewhere in the city, and it's worse when you get to the sushi (for which the raw goods arrive from overseas)

Pffft, debt smet. It was barely a 10k in the hole before the freighter showed up to take away ~80 or so k worth of goods. Plus the USA loves me, that little white dot on the minimap way out there on its own is their army base.
