Yep, eight docking nodes, four full-sized solar panels and plenty of fuel and monopropellant to top off visiting craft. Also attached is a telescope — for science!

Yeah, Darth is a big mouthed idiot and his AI isn't not any better (if not worse) than the vanilla AI at all. Mostly because you can't actually edit the Battle AI in Empire.

Somebody seems a little critical of the DarthMod...

Are there any good Empire: TW mods out there? I haven't played in a long time.

I don't know, most people have played DarthMod because it was the only really big one for a long time or played no mods at all. None of them can improve the battle AI though because it isn't moddable, contrary to Darth's loud mouthed claims. All they can do is edit unit stats, sizes and morale.

DarthMod does add a lot of units to the game though, and a tonne of them to Greece which isn't even a playable faction :p (Darth is Greek iirc).

I've been working my way through games on my Steam 'Not Completed' list. I have a lot, it seems.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: a rubbish game in which the most interesting thing is that the hedgehog apparently kills Bruce Springsteen:

Metro, my current game. So far it is far more enjoyable.

And Alan Wake, in which this horrific event occured. One of the monsters traps Alan between a light and a power box and keeps ramming into him from behind. No health decrease (it started rising, in fact) and no way of escaping. It was horrible.

It didn't help that the game had already referenced Deliverance earlier :(

Did you guys ever make it to Lovers' Peak?

That's not where Helena is! If anything that should be Billings.

And now that I start looking, so many cities out of place! El Paso is not in New Mexico, Houston should be further south, Duluth is on Lake Superior, and I could go on about the horrible geography.

It's a reproduction of a board game, which requires a design that allows a specific number of tiles between cities and space to stick your fingers in and manipulate the props and such. I really don't think geographic precision was much of a concern besides having a vague background for the board.

I never made it to lovers peak. I hated the controls and perspective and couldn't get past a fight in the woods on my way to lovers peak. Uninstillation followed on shortly.

I have to say, I'm in a similar boat. I want to like this game... I finished the first chapter in November or so... Am still at the beginning of Chapter 2, wondering if I should uninstall. The controls and perspective are wonky but not too bad. The fight in the woods to that peak was indeed the worst part. I hate the fights so much. I do want to like it but... eh.

Agree with grandad1982 and Rub'Rum - awful controls, and it really shows in Lover's Peak. It's not helped by battle after constant battle - fight and run out of ammo, or leg it and try to hold them off with the torch. When I finally, after multiple attempts, made it to a light and its power failed, I quit in disgust (I came back later, made it, then the next section immediately threw me into another huge fight).

I had an issue with the perspective as well, then told myself it's skewed on purpose to add to the horror aspect by keeping the player off-balance. I'll keep telling myself that, anyway.

Yeah the game is notorious for giving you the impression your character is running at a diagonal all the time, but after a while you get used to it and you just let him go the right way and keep the camera at a proper angle.

It's just the tedious annoying fights that made me quit. The environment of the first chapter was rather bland too (an hour or two of dark forest corridors, yay).

Yeah the game gets you to use up your ammo way too easily a lot of the time.

Wait what? I had the exact opposite problem, where I always had way too much ammo. But then again, I ran from most fights that weren't absolutely necessary to continue. If you hate the combat and controls that much though, you might as well watch a Let's Play of it, I played it for the story anyway.
