Well, I don't have a screenie, but I united actual Germany pretty late...~1873 AD. And right now it's 1887 AD. Nothing exciting has happen at all in Europe...

And it seems that capitalists absolutely SUCK at industrializing your nation. I've been running a liberal party (ya know, who am I to micro the entirety of Germany?) and my industry score is only 150...USA's is 1600 the last time I checked.

So I guess I'll stick to the conservative parties...

No event for it; you have to fight the Brits. And since they have a huge empire, you have to occupy most of Canada to get enough warscore to take northern Maine off their hands. It can be a tossup sometimes - if their army is concentrated in BC, it's a pain in the ass to kill, but if you luck out and they concentrate in Ontario and Quebec, you can roll over the whole damn country pretty quickly.
