OK, so far I have found out the asset editor no longer crashes when certain file types are created.

Also Associations now work properly and modinfo files get the relevant associations entered automatically once set up (no more copy paste).

One thing I have also noticed was the proposed
  • Added SQL syntax coloring to ModBuddy.
Does not work for me, if anyone has this working please do tell.

I've not tested the SQL syntax yet.

I'll try the reference for artdef ASAP

I can't run the Asset Editor since the update. Is that just me? I get this:

Unhandled Exception
Code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Error reading address 0x0

Call Stack
-----------------------------------------------------
??? ! ??? ???, line 0

I'm not seeing any syntax coloring in SQL files. Everything is still basic text black in SQL files edited in Modbuddy. But perhaps the coloring update only works if you have not changed the modbuddy color scheme from the default painful dark black version ?

edit -- the modbuddy color scheme makes no difference on the SQL syntax coloring.

I did not buy all the extra DLC, so perhaps other people who did are seeing the change in Modbuddy ?

I have been successful running asset editor so I am not sure. It seems to be more stable now but crashes in different places now and less often.

Asset preview is working now so we no longer need to go into the game to see if the unit is working/troubleshooting.:)

Adding a DSG no longer crashes it. And adding animations via asset editor is working better too.

Yes it works for me too. The reason for the above error was because I was trying to run it on a machine without DirectX which is obviously now needed for the previewer. This Asset Preview is going to save a bunch of time!
