1) Marriage is the key term here, a RNG will decide every turn until your char dies.

2) You can't claim, that was the whole point (no uninhabited areas), your EP is solely for recruiting and diplomacy. Plains give 4 EP, forests give 4 EP, mountains give 5 EP (cos admit, gold is worth more than a horse).

3) only if at war with the clan, as many as you want provided you have the soldiers.

4) depending on the province terrain (again): 1 per turn for plains (archers don't have a nice time without cover), 2 per turn for forest and 2 OR 1 per turn for a mountain (RNG again. an army might fall down a mountain and that's that.)

Also, before you ask on how to gain right to rule/respect:
I might add some events happening to clan leaders (note please that the leaders are important!) which may add right to rule or respect.

Don't worry though, as long as you don't need your armies you won't have to pay the 0.5 EP cost every turn
(that's it really. they cost but the don't, you know, always cost)
