4.1 -- Turn Timer
The PitBoss server will give each team 24 hours in which to play the save and pass it on to the next team. If a team is unable to play in time, they may post a request for an extension in the turn-tracker thread, and state the reason they believe it should be granted. AFTER the extension request and rational have been posted in the turn tracker, that team may then pause the game.
The game may remain paused up to 120 hours, at which point any team may un-pause the game so play may resume.
An official vote to “continue sooner” may be posted by any team in the turn-tracker thread. Each such vote by a team will reduce the 120 hour extension by 24 hours.

Cav you now have a maximum of 24 hours and 5 minutes (from this post) left of pause. Thereafter:
The game may remain paused up to 120 hours, at which point any team may un-pause the game so play may resume.

Cav be warned if any other team votes now they can log in and unpause the game...leaving you with ~3 hours to play your save.

it's timing out when I try to connect - is anyone else having this problem?
 
I was doing some home maintenance which involved flipping breakers off, and I did not trust the electrician's labels on the panel. So I saved the game in the pitboss -- but forgot that it pops up a "successfully saved" dialog. The computer was not affected by switching off power, and the game has been hung all this time with the timer not running, waiting on that dialog. I didn't expect a popup for a successful save to hang the program.

But it turns out that it is reporting a socket problem, so I'll end up having to reload anyway. Maybe I got the breaker that had the router? Anyway, sorry about the problem.

Edit: nope, the time of the problem reports in the forum is before I took the preventive save, which means it was already broken before any power was cut. So, guess I should go back to the previous autosave to give the correct amount of time on the clock for those who haven't been able to get in. Loading a save by gitbliss as of Sep 6th, 1:27 PM. Did we really go 22 hours before the next player tried to log in? Or more likely folks were having trouble but not saying anything. ;)
