Sever the Union?

Well they get a say on purely English matters while the English don't get a say on matters that purely concern them. Otherwise they have equal rights. So they're more politically powerful than the English. What is wrong with this line of thinking?

Well, not much. The only thing that's apparent to me is the overwhelming majority of the British population is English, or rather living in England. So, I don't think it's very significant that the Welsh, Scots, and Irish have "a bit" of a say. Although it's true that they do, at the moment.

Yes exactly, it's hard to claim that a country with 52 seats in parliament is "the boss" of a country with 502 seats in parliament. Scotland's 52 seats hardly makes Scotland more powerful than England with its 502 seats.

Centralisation does have a lot of major advantages, like being able to get all the country's best politicians in the one place, but decentralisation has the advantage of making sure people get (to some degree) what they want. Whether the entire UK splits up or not I'm not too bothered, though it could genuinely be better for all of us (as in, the English don't have to micromanage a couple of people and more sheep all the time). In all honesty, there's a fair bit of hatrid for the English in a lot if the UK, and I can only assume you'd give the same sort of love back (though I have nothing against England, for the record :p).
