Yeah.I guess we should humour ourselves to imagine that there is some kind of government in the future that ban sex for whatever reason because the reason of the banning is left out for entertainment purpose.:crazyeye:

Well, if you dislike debating hypothetical situations, go ahead and unsubscribe. I consider it an interesting topic since a complete sex ban has never existed. Or if it has, we wouldn't know it. (Dinosaurs?)

I don't mind some hypothetical scenario in a form of a question,it is just downright lazy of a person that propose a question in hypothetical sense and don't provide step-by-step reasons for doing so.

So the hypothesis in a form of a question of an imagined scenario is incomplete and provide others to make conclusion that are in consequent- unreasonable scenarios.

Strangely, I can't help but feel that you don't understand what the expression "I'm with stupid" means.
You do?

But I'm a big fan of the angst. Keep it up, you're becoming one of the most entertaining posters around here.
Thanks for the compliment, the way you avoided this:

ATTENTION ALL POSTER! What we have here is a prime example of a question that isn't so related to the original question as the poster in question make it appear! That was all.
was quite funny too, in a not-so-funny-at-all way.

I'm with stupid means: "I agree with what that person said", not "The person who said this is stupid" or "This is a stupid comment". Pulling out the "I'm with stupid" icon means that you agree with me that "what would you do if they banned breathing" is a related question.

A related question is a question that shares something with the original question. In both instances, something is posited to have been banned: the questions are related. Another related question could have been: what if they forced you to live. See, not anybody value their lives the same way, but it's still a related question.

thetrooper handled the other part of your "point" (and I'm being generous calling it a point). Come back to tell us how you feel about this issue when your testes have dropped.

I would go on a sex spree. Making it outlawed would simply make it more fun.

:stupid:

By relation do you mean the one question raised first which later succeed another question is merely tautological or analogous?

This is hard to decypher.:hmm:

Hell no! First of all, "perfect babies" are both morally wrong, and scary (if you've seen any futuristic movie). Plus, people like sex. People will get pissed off. Really pissed off.

...even in a society where sex is taboo?

It's a biological thing. Society might be able to dampen the drive, but it can't eliminate it. Consider societies where homosexuality is taboo - it still exists, it's just suppressed and hidden.

My Parents tried to ban it from me once upon a time- learnt their lesson when they walked in on me having a quickie :)

Disgusting. Thanks for ruining my appetite.

Personally though, I think sex that isn't between a married man and a married woman should be banned.

Squeamish, no?;)

That does not neccearily follow. Society can alter biology, and in the future this capacity will likely increase.

God and Mary wern't married :mischief:

But i fail to see how sex could be disgusting its hardly like i went into graphic detail about it.

Live in a compound, privacy!

Spoiler poll :
Screw the government, i'll have sex whenever I want.

I would not approve of the ban - it would totally suck bad. However, I would already be abiding by it, whether I liked it or not.
