Can we get fuedalism anytime soon. Also, if you feel uncomfortable using the whip during your turnset, feel free to switch to Caste System and pump the GP. I mean, we're spiritual, so we can do whatever.

As for Cyrus... I hate to betray a friend :( And it might p/o Gandhi. But I think we might have to.

So whats the deal with Cyrus? Are we attacking him or not? Beef clearly wants to because it helps the path to domination, others prefer to make use of the friendship later for diplomatic vic.

I would rather do Cyrus in earlier than later for the following reasons:

1. Originally, we had a goal of fast domination.

2. It will be easier now rather than later after he catches up in tech and infrastructure.

3. We currently lack the means to wage a cross-oceanic war and from what I've seen we don't know anyone else yet besides these two.

4. Our leader is a pretty, young thing and that ol Geezer Ghandi looks like a dirty old man to me. :lol:
 
Well, we should at least wait until we can get maces. It just feels like the majority of our cities would be swamped by Indian Culture, and we wouldn't be able to do anything about that.

EDIT: Except for fight fire with fire :D
 
We've got access to theatres and temples now, so we ought to be able to hang on to acquisitions. Failing that, we could always gift anything naff on the borders to Gandhi to further improve relations.

Oh, I got most of the irrigation done without clearing any unnecessary forests :P

Do some basic MM, nothing special.

I consider whipping a few buildings, but I think we’d benefit more right now by letting our cities grow.

Gandhi founds Islam in Bombay, quite a quick grab on that.

Machinery --> Feudalism

Our defences are extremely light at the moment. Capital guarded by a woodsman I warrior for instance :blush: . So a good time to get Longbows.

An Incan Caravel appears off the east coast of former Russian waters. I’d like to be able to look at the diplo screen and see if we have any tech. Advantage on them, but seems I can’t.

If the ship heads north, it can pillage all our sea resources.

Unfortunately a 2nd Caravel appears to the East of our northern cities, it can pillage at will for now. However its interesting to note that both ships have stayed just outside our border for now.


We have a reasonable force in Indian lands west of Persia, Macemen/Cats etc are arriving and being built in our empire. I’d also suggest upgrading our defences to Longbows ASAP.

By the way, Caravels cannot pillage nets; they can blockade them, however.

I think we might need more guys afore we go after Cyrus. A great artist'd help.

I got an email from Snap, and that's exactly what's happening - he got posted somewhere with a few hours' notice. He should be back in about a week or so he said, so we can skip him for this round.

Alright my head is killin' me but I think I put in a great performance

Notes:

took 2 cities from cyrus
then sued for Monothyism (sp) 50 gold world map

Discovered Paper
traded with ghandi for optics and his world map (nothing interesting)

Traded drama and paper for Theology to Cyrus


So we gained 4 techs and 2 cities in 10 turns :goodjob:

I also built 5 Missionaries and spread our religion (Mono) to our cities because christianity doesn't give any bonus.

I began building defenses (Longobows) and by the screen shots you can see our south is covered and the north should be next because you never know when huyana is gonna show up with galleons.

Other than that the set of turns was pretty quite :mischief:

The first one Tarsus is in no worry about cultue, it has a theater done in a couple of turns and no pressure on it. Also:
EL_OSO you will notice a missionary is getting ready to board our Galley, please shuttle him over and then Add Judaism to Tarsus as it will give an extra +1 cultue a turn. :)

As for the second city... it is completely souronded yes... But I jsut adopted Caste System for that.

EL_OSO in 3 turns once the city is doen revolting force as many artists as you can (7) I know the city will starve for 1 turn, but that is alright because it will push the borders back.

After that build a Theater (we get them half price) and keep as many artists on as you can to get some cultural base.
If you finish the theater (probably on your last turn) start a temple also half price)

The city won't flip because there are lots of military units stantioned there.

Alright sounds good. I can't get the save btw. I'm not sure if it is on my end or something is wrong with the server at the moment. I'm getting a server not found error when I click on it.

EDIT: Nevermind. I was able to get it from the results page. It is getting kinda late for me so I'll tackle it in the morning (about 12 hours from the time of this post).

My reaction could otherwise be phrased: "Argh, argh, argh."

As for going against Cyrus... I'm not too mad about that. We need the land to get to domination. However, why Susa? What's the flip chance? It will be absolutely worthless until/unless we can eliminate Cyrus. Which I'm sure we can do... but I figured we should have waited until we could get a Great Artist, and then wipe out Cyrus... and then use the GA to culturebomb a valuable city... As it is, Susa will be useless, because it will probably flip the moment that we wipe out Cyrus. :( At least it's not the other way around (that would be disastrous) (because of Cyrus' cultural trait). However, what's done is done, even if I feel like it went kind of fast. I guess that could be considered a flaw in my play :(

Also, we need to be prepared for the Capac. Astronomy should come ASAP, so we can get a protective fleet. However, when we go after him, we need to finish him fast. Very fast, so that war weariness doesn't become a problem. So, we should probably do it when we can blitz (if you know what I mean).
