I'm probably responsible for close to 1500 views, since I think every page you look at is considered a view and I've done a lot of hunting through the thread (gets harder as the pages get more numerous!)
Game wise, we really need to pick the civics that will set us up to improve our economy rapidly. Don't be in a high upkeep civic unless it will pay for the difference to a med/low/no upkeep civic very quickly. Its time to slip into SuperBuilderMode (tm) and fill up our contient. Along the way, we have to be ready for an invasion by HC.
Towards that... We know HC is to our east, but we have no idea about the rest of the world. I'm all for running settlers and explorers west wards. Lets fight the defensive battle against HC for the coming century. Its more expensive to try to land troops then it is to defend. Esp since we were gifted with that nice defensive mountain range.
As GreyFox grazed over the lands of Eygpt, he was terrified by the inadequate defenses in all cities.
"We are still at war" he thought, "And judging by the map:
HC can reach us and we can't reach him. If HC is half as intelligent as those pigs, we would be dead by now."
And then, GreyFox knew that he can only be a tyrant. At time of complacency, the ruler cannot be benovalent.
Immediately, Thebes is ordered off research and start producing archers.
What tiny forces that remains from the massacre of the russian were hurried back to the main cities of Egypt.
Yakutsk finally awoke from its lumbering, and this implies:
GreyFox's comment on Civic: Representation is deemed to be the best. We are not facing happiness issues. We do have 3 or 4 specialists. One thing though is I forgot to change to Bureacracy immediately after CS was learnt ... my . OR is necessary to train missionary. We don't have the luxury to built monastry. We need hinduism spread through Egypt fast.
... a lighthouse was immediately whipped to allow Yakutsk to grow, and then a granary was whipped to allow it to grow even faster.
It is now producing Hindu Missionary, suggest converting a production powerhouse, so that we can pump out missionaries in a faster speed, and so that Yakutsk can go on to produce a courthouse so as to enable the FP.
Pi-Ramesses was cruelly whipped, again and again. And if GreyFox were to rule the next 100 years, Pi-Ramesses would be continually whipped.
Recommendation to Next Player: Do continue to whip Pi-Ramesses. It will grow back in 2 to 3 turns, so stop wasting time trying to work on the mines. Simply the whip whatever infrastructure needed and concentrate on its function as a GP-Farm.

And as my final sail along the Great River of Materials, I found Cyrus to have an extra gold. It was immediately grabbed by changing our selling price of cow from 4gpt to 5gpt

And another one, for our official cheerleader, and all those lurkers that contributed to our 10K views, I present a topless supermodel, complete with floating breads and hammers:
Sorry, the cameraman is apparently more interested in the guard standing at the back than the topless model ...
And from the last screenshots... commerce is even @ 60% research, getting better... and 7 turns left on Optics... soon we shall have Astronomy! Here we come HC...
Or a bobrath might say, "Less talky more smashy!!!!!"
I will continue to whip Pi-Ramesees. I will work on converting our cities.
How probable would it be to get the Persian city to flip to us? Right now we do have access to the Persians with galleys if we wanted to start a war with them.
Remember when you stated that you were honored by my de-lurking in your forum ... I've been a fanaticsmember since ... oh ... was it oct 2005 ??? Most probably I'd guess there are quite some 'silent' lurkers left.

Yikes, I totally didn't notice that! HC can reach us!
Sure. But what's the very big deal about that? (See next quote and comment).

I'd join into proclaiming a century of defence and of telling your people to be fruitful and multiply
Well, and since you're heading to get optics the defence of your coast is everything but impossible ...
@GreyFox: Nice set of turns. Besides: Is it possible to fire that cameraman. Praise to the magician (or the department of VisualFX) ... I absolutely fancy those floating breads ...
