How many nukes do we need to drop per day?I think we might just finish this game yet, especially if we string together a few more 40t sets.
Honnestly, I still think we are short, so I would play at least a big set a day now. I think 15 unkes a day is a minimum

Any tips on warfare, RRRaskolnikov? I'd just say that it's much easier to move in with cossacks on the same turn that you nuke. The odds are overwhelming then, but drop quite a bit next turn. What were your losses? I see we're down 13 cossacks since my set, but you suggested that some of them were from friendly fire.I'd waste an ICBM or two to bust up Churchill's stacks if there's opportunity.
Whatever happened to global warming?
Nothing bad regarding GW: only two tiles suffering from radioactive spinoffs iirc.
Tips about warfare? Don't forget I am french!

Problem with fallouts is that it reduce deplacement cost, so even with a road, a cav move one tile/turn on this terrain
But collateral damages are too big when you spend your time nuking your own troops... I can't remember how many troops I lost but it was between 5 and 10 cavs for one bad click. Conclusion: nuke, then move next to the city. Attack next turn. This neglects cavs speed advantage, but I don't think we have other options... Sometimes (most of the time for non coastal cities), you have first ring tiles free from fall out so you can still blitz. I don't know how fall out pattern is chosen (I noticed it's 3 tiles in first ring, but then it seems random). Still I would focus on cavs/tacticals for Churchill. Protecting galleons against english destroyers: troops can be loaded in Yekateringburg then shipped in the fort south east of Shangai (unload troops from the sea- they must have been loaded the turn before), with the ships going back in the same turn. We shouldn't let our boats out without combustion. I would place some subs to keep our most usefull seafoods safe.Destroying english oil with guided missiles should be usefull too...
edit: 13 cossacks: protective rifles on hills aren't a joke... even after a nuke, they have one turn of healing (see above why), so get lucky here and there. I have to say that I spent most of the rounds building production buildings too, so the unit spam has just started again
But I think it was a usefull investment as we need still a crap load of troops to end this.

shyuhe!
I was using only one nuke per city for ther reasons you meantionned (keep up with regular soldiers, avoid loosing every buildings)... but 2 nukes per city was nice to see
