I would like to give a shot at this.
I have never played a succession game before and look forward to this.
I am comfortable at playing upto demi level and usually a builder untill recently. After playing the recent quick game, I am ready to war monger too. Hopefully I get to learn from an expert.

I have a suspicion that this will be a "terra" map, where the barbs will have a continent (New World?) to themselves, and by the time we get navigation or magnets, they will be huge. Since galleys cannot enter oceans at all in this variant, suicide runs are out.
