SGOTM 12 - One Short Straw

I forgot to mention that Roosevelt and Mao are no longer at war...

and we're going to piss him off more by gifting Mao another city (although now that isn't necessary)

Makes sense to give Stalin a different city perhaps?

I would expect Rosey to gun for us soon if we don't go for him.

what do the defenses of London look like?

I don't have access to the save, but maybe we wait on the GA for 3 more turns would be my guess.

sorry editted after you responded

Well, we need to get Mao out of St. Nick so that we can steal from Stalin... Where would you put Stalin?

Yes, we need to watch for Roosevelt going WHEOOHRN.

Very weak.

You can see what I have in the stack just south of York at the bottom of the screen. My mouse is on the stack that just took York last turn (York-E). York has one healthy musket it it.

The hamlet at Tours-2W will become unpillageable next turn.

We could move our Canterbury stack onto the hill at Cant-2NE, leaving Hastings empty, to see if that happens to draw any units out.

We're going to have to capture Nottingham eventually if we want the copper tile.

I don't feel like starting the GA before we stop poprushing and it doesn't seem like we have poprushed enough chs and execs.

Btw, I don't think more than 40h will overflow from teh Bermuda whip. The rest will be gold.

Capture London, as per plan.

Yes, yes, yes and I agree.

Are you suggesting that we split our York stack and take both London and Nottingham on T+3? We should assume that both cities could have 3 more units in that period, so it may not be worth the risk. Nottingham will be ours soon enough...

I agree that we hold off on the GA. There is quite a bit still to whip. Maybe we can reconsider in 3T?

BTW, with more work shops in Moscow (I converted 3 farms to ws), it can build an executive just about every turn. :)

I thought about that, but I was more concerned about getting Confucianism to Bahamas without losing a turn on Versailles. The 40 hammer overflow makes up for the turn I was building the missionary but not the turn I used to whip it.

do you think we could take both London & Nottingham? Or would it be a stretch?

If isn't a stretch for our units do it, otherwise take London.

Are those CG III longbows in London and Nottingham for example?

I can't see the save so you make the call.

I don't think it's worth the risk. Capturing London is my number one priority at the moment. Let's assume that it will have 3 more LBs by the time we attack it...

We'll have Nottingham before London comes out of revolt, but that's for the next player to figure out, I think.

I hope we get a chance to whip a levee in Moscow...

whipping the levee in Siberia might make sense too...

sounds like gifting to Stalin is on the table then, no ICBMs
