I know that this comes up every game but when exactly on Thursday, 19-December is the deadline for submissions?

This wouldn't be an SGOTM if there wasn't at least one 11th-hour entry, right?

If it weren't for the last minute, I'd never get anything done...

Going by previous judgement...

FYI The deadline is taken as midnight at the end of December 10 at the international dateline. For most of us, that will be on 11 December, and the time of day will be:

12:00 noon CET (Paris etc)
11:00 am UTC/GMT (London)
06:00 am EST (New York etc)
03:00 am PST (California etc)

Australasia will have reached 12 December by then.

It's about 40 hours from the time stamp of this post.

So December 19th 23:59:59 + a few hours based on your time zone.

PLEASE don't leave it to the last minute! You can so easily miscalculate.

Are you thinking about giving some form of reward to teams who took the original deadline serious? Not many are doing this anymore, extensions are being taken for granted and games still delayed until the very last day(s).

I'm impressed that you guys finished on time. You may have been the only one, but I'm not sure...

Unfortunately, our team was playing with just 2 players for about 6 to 8 weeks due to RL issues and we only just recently got back to 3 players a couple of weeks ago. Meeting the original deadline would have been nearly impossible for the 2 of us to meet... Call it poor planning or bad luck, but it is what it is and the deadline was extended based on input from all teams, not just those few still struggling to finish.

Actually, I secretly changed the deadline to November 19 without telling anyone. This was done to ensure Dr Evil prevails over all.



But seriously folks... its too late to talk about deadlines. Been there, done that.

You can work it out, but I'm not extending it if you miss it I recommend NOT playing chicken with the deadline!

Its just so hard to find good help these days...

I put horse right next to Ghenghis... and when testing showed he did not try to acquire them fast enough, I put even more horses there... and still... what's with that guy... its like he doesn't know what to do with horses until 40 turns are gone.
