Send in all the axes with best odd 1st. You battle luck this time was below normal. 1 cat + 3 HAs + 1 CIII Cui lost to a single CGIII LB without a scratch.:crazyeye:

Edit: Keep in mind, don't quit the game when you are asking for feedback, especially when you are suffering the bad RNG. The RNG usually will be better after bad ones, while starting the game means a new set of random seeds.

Your Civ 4 crashed?

You'll need to wait an hour before restarting, and play any lost moves in the same way.

If the RNG changes, e.g. if our Catapult or Flanking II Horse Archer actually wounds the Longbow, we may be able to change things so as to follow the original plan of attacking with a Cuirassier. The initial moves must be the same.

If we have no response after an hour, I would replay in the same manner until the RNG results would affect our decisions. Things could also change for the worse as well as the better, e.g. our Flanking II Horse Archers could die.

Just document the attacking part carefully, and show that we are making the same moves until (if) the situation differs in the second attempt.

It's New Random Seed on Reload so I think it doesn't matter in which way I play the moves since making the same moves would mean a different RNG anyway. :dunno:

I can't restart playing in an hour because that's about when I'll need to go to bed

For clarification of the rules... for a simple crash where autosave interval = 1 or manual save within at least 1 turn is available, all you need to do is notify and continue -- repeating all moves as best you can before the crash. No need to wait for response from staff.

For other save-related issues (including crashes where the number of turns needin to be replayed is greater than 1) you should notify and await instructions and a stern scolding if you have failed to set your autosave interval to 1.:mad:

@pomthom, you can continue from the latest save.

Attack with cata and then HA, check the result and then decide how to do next.
 
Play the non-RNG based moves in the same way: the order is not an issue.

For the attacks, if the RNG changes, e.g. we actually wound the Longbow, that will either (a) change the moves we make attacking, or (b) change the consequences of our attack.

So begin in the same way with a Catapult. Then keep attacking as before with Flanking HAs, until (if) the CGIII Longbow is wounded. When/if that happens, our moves may change, because the product of identical play is different.
 
Hm, I miscalculated in Thess, the OF will not allow a 2-pop whip next turn (don't know what happened, I can't get them all right I guess):

1 pop whip is fine.

OK to market in DH.

BTW, you can send the woodmanIII axe and spy to the border city now.
 
A chop will finish the Cuirassier, or a 1–pop whip if you are worried about Horse Archers.

Dye Hard OF should go into the Market.
 
Cata died, causing the same collateral but wounding the top LB to 4.6/6...

CII Cuir has 86% win + 2% survival compared to earlier. What do I do? It's been 50 minutes now, they're not connected. I'll play on and save every step of the way

The general rule of battles:

If the odd is ~95%, consider it a safe, no need for further promotion, otherwise promote for better odd.
