SGOTM 19 - Also Sprach Sid

Optics, Doshin has post the good reasons.

BTW, if a city can't grow over size 10 in a dozen turns, cottage on plain tiles is the best choice.

- Wounded stack SE of Augburg: how to heal? Promote anything to medic 1 and stay in place?
I forgot to say: if you need a Medic I unit, use the Horse Archer in Mainz.

All clear playing now the turn 143. :scan:
Will publish the EOT in 45 min max and ask for green-light before I proceed. Expect a thousand mistakes.

Just uploaded and EOT 143 save.

All moves done except a couple of cuirassiers near Golden Sand: go NE barb city or towards the middle of the map?

I chose to upgrade (along the C3 line) some cuirassiers in situation of healing. Is this correct?

City micro is according to suggestions and I changed all merchants to scientists in Constantinople. It seems to be in line with Doshin plan to produce moar GS?

let me know your comments. I can resume play (and do mainly Aachen / Prague attacks) after that.

TBH, my post #1798 is very speculative, and would require a lot of testing or planning.

I don't even know if corporation spread will limit our victory date, because we need to spread to some distant cities. It was just unfortunate that Kublai was overwhelmed by Barbarians. That, and the lack of Railroad on the road to Sushi, make Mining Inc. better suited to the mystery requirement, and both in ways that were largely beyond our control.

Will look at the save now.

That's what will make an exciting finish vs TSR, as we can presume they have gunned for Mining inc since the start :)

Both to middle of the map. Whale city should be settled at last moment possible to move the Ironclad and enable Galley passage.

Yes, but only promote/heal when necessary (e.g. they are about to attack a city) or optimal (e.g. this lets a unit return to health thanks to a Super Medic).

I am just as happy to go with Merchants as Scientists. Perhaps stick with Merchants, since kossin thinks we will need :gold: to spread the corporation.

I'd move the Cuirassier in Mycenian towards Alex.

In Barcelona, a Plains Forest will be stronger than a Deer when building a Settler.

I assume you feel confident with leaving Nuremberg unprotected. ;) You are probably right to do so.

If you reduce the science slider to 0%, what is our GPT?

---

The save looks good. :)

On T144, don't move the Cuirassier on the Iron. He may be needed to threaten Ulm.

if you reduce the science slider to 0%, what is our gpt?

+153 gpt

Edit: And we would still research Optics in one turn with the overflow!
I hope the overflow does not get lost as I am leaving the research full throttle.

Stick with Merchants in Constantinople, then. :gold: :gold: :gold:

Spoiler :
P.S. You all still owe me $50.

Research OF carries over. 100% research until the end of the game now.

Played the 2 battles and what do you expect?

Got a string of withdrawals in Aachen, by throwing random low health rookies at the LKs wounding all LKs in the process :p
Then, 4 deaths in our stack, some veterans among them :(
Then the Jata lucky bell rings and...

He does not seem to be willing to give Guilds although I did not try to ask directly.

Can't play more tonight. Will read the comments tomorrow and push the game as much as I can until Friday.
Nites

Put Guild on the table and ask. I believe our kill/loss ratio is enough. Doshin's last battles and yours are pretty good.
