agree. Now that we have math, chop as fast as possible.
I will delay the wine roads, but I always want one wine available in case, for example, gold shows up. Darius should be hooking up that desert gold we found maybe.
 
Shouldn't Bovina 1chop the granary?

yea, Bovino's not quite ready for it, but soon.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but probably chop a monument first for borders and for Zeus. We need that cow tile.
The granary needs a lot of turns of organic hammers anyway before it will need the chop.
 
If we assume we are going to get Zeus, then we need another monument anyway, so now I'm wondering if HC should build one so it has more forests soon. We've already waited this long to capture our first city. Why not continue to set up our core better.

So I didn't start playing yet cus I'm not sure about the Rax/monument options.
 
More thoughts. We're significantly behind where we could be, having wasted buckets of hammers on spies. Capturing Mecca and completing the Aes wonders seems like a very powerful combination. Thus, the determination on whether to build RAX and other buildings should be strictly, imo, whether they help capture Mecca asap.

I'm not even convinced we'll hang on to HC, FC, and Bovina forever. We might chop 'em, whip 'em and drop 'em.

How about this:
HC : Rax + 3 Praets ... all on or before T113 and a 4th as early as T115 T114.

(uses 1 chop and one 2whip + one 1whip.)
We won't spend much time at size 4 (we grow too slow). Therefore no new mine.

I didn't mean that soon. At pop5, HC can produce 1 praet every 4t. We're going to need a continuing supply of praets from our two hammer cities until Mecca and Damascus come out of resistance.

Btw, are you including the forest at HC-2W1N which will be ours in 2 or 3t (right?)? We could even start chopping that in advance.

Yes, that forest is in the plan. I'm pretty sure we want to beat on HC that hard for now and then let it grow to 4 or 5 while our boats sail off. I also don't want to waste time on the mine rt now, so whipping is ideal. HC can absorb some extra whip anger since it can't really whip every 10 turns.

I re-arranged some MM and I think I can get RAX+4 Praets T114.

Now, let's see what I can squeeze out of FC. Maybe we can get 5 boats to Mecca with 10 Catoreans. Capture T127

We can probably attack 1, maybe 2 turns earlier w/8 units.
Sadly, we are short just one tile on the galley travel. We need to clear Sal's culture. That costs a turn.

I'm starting to think we will grab Baghdad on the way over. Maybe T121.
Then, when it's out of revolt and can 2whip twice for 3 Praets, we can hit Mecca with 10. A Baghdad Praet can be born and land at Mecca T+1

Then 2 galleys follow shortly after.

We could have Aes 1 turn early if we really want. Rome wasn't really planning for that, but we could get 1 turn of Parthenon failgold somewhere (doubtful).
Or maybe Rome can change up it's whipping. We'll see.
