SGOTM 22 - TTfkapr

Great Spy definitely uses roads, but we don't have bridges yet, so you probably lost turns over rivers.

Send GSpy to Saladin. we want vision of his cities to see what he is building and check his garrisons. Cities in fog are not revealed with infiltration.

I tested spied in a galley. The can immediately get the stationary when getting off the boat, they also can't be detected while on the boat.

Okay will send Gspy towards Sal.

Will continue with archers for now.

What do we think about trading away our horse?? We might get 2-3 resources for it? Chariots are hardly going to take down AI stacks.

Okay time to consider live save?? What trades can we do??

The only Ai we can trade horse with is Brennus. This has big risks! We still don't know who he plans to attack here. Hmmmm.

Can you set some guidelines on what we should accept? We won't likely get great value for the horses. I would rather keep them than trade for one health or one happy. Situationally, maybe one happy would be worth it. If someone gets currency and has several gpt, that might be doable.

Horses should be able to get 2 resources and gpt.

How big is the risk of giving Brennus horses? He won't build a 2 move army. It will be a hybrid stack with melees.

Okay test game. I can add in 2 Ai island cities. Not an issue. I can also add 2 commerce somewhere. Let me do this.

In terms of Brennus if we gave him horse I would expect a happiness resource and 2-3 health if possible. Need to see what he might offer. Hmmmm.

Just a thought on the iron city. We can use returning workboat for this city. About 5 turns away. Should be perfect. So Corn, deer and fish should add 3 health.

Maybe we can hold off on horse??

Wandering WB can go to fish.

Agree on WB.
Agree we can wait on horse if poor trade value. Or, we could trade it to Brennus for crap and cancel in 10 turns. It might make him waste beakers on HBR or hammers into HAs or chariots.

I am 2 science off on test game. Need to test one final idea. I may go back to my 350bc test game to match trade routes. Back in a bit. I will test to see what Brennus offers for horse too. brb

Okay 275bc test game.

Firing up live game to see what Brennus might offer. The extra health would really help here.

Brennus will offer 2 resources. If we did this would we still rush for the corn???

I think we may want the corn anyway if we want size 10 soon. We will need 3 more health soon. Deer, fish, corn. Hmmm.

X post. Noted on your wb and sugar comment. Lets do wheat and silver. Then send worker back to corn for a road.

We are 2 turns off corn decision so time to play on doing horse trade. Will play 1 turn to see what his stack does.

Yep so hooking up Corn will be just as valuable. +2 health. I must admit I rarely check what health bonuses a granary offers.

Noted on corn. Will hold off that decision for now. Need to look at plan to make sure I do everything. Is there anything we have missed??

Sal has so many techs to steal now!!! xtianity, calendar among others.

Persians have moved onto the bananas. Targeting Rome. They could attack it next turn but I think they will wait for the axe.

Do I move the 2 additional archers into the city. He could yet bypass it and head to Antium or horse city. If we leave 5 defenders in the city he might be tempted.

I think with worker we can try for a second farm south of Rome.

My gut would be to send the CG2 archer to Rome now and leave the other. It's very marginal if he will just suicide his stack. Rome is definately safe next turn. I'll upload save for now.
