[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

I was just looking at the graphs too. This last turnset was a big turning point for us. We finally got some good use out of Pete. Compass will be another bonus. Maybe he'll tech Optics for us too.

Well played, WT.

I read something about a scout? That's so 4000 BC. We do things with Paper now. ;)

Oh, right! Well, where were you? I guess I planned/played too fast. The scout only has about 5 hammers in it. The other scout still has the 1 hammer Kait put in it in case we had Iron.
Next player can cancel those.
Actually, :hmm: aren't there AI (like Liz) that won't trade map til Friendly? And we do see white culture.
OMG, I just checked 'Know your Enemy' and it says she will trade map: Never. I didn't know there was such a thing.

Charley
: requires Pleased for map. We know he's in the game.

We need to finish any scouts before we get Compass.

We need scouts of some type for AIs who won’t trade maps at Annoyed.

One reason to find new AIs from Profit and Canal is to find them all asap so we know which hate each other. Hopefully we can avoid -4 Traded with our enemies.

(When recently meeting an AI we can get an instant +4 with a tech trade, so we can OB with ornery AIs, but that can also get -4 with another.)

We need to finish any scouts before we get Compass.
Forgot that. Not sure I've ever built a scout much less one this late.
Profit can switch to scout and get it in 2 turns. Canal will have to forget it., cus Compass is 2t away and we're not letting it sit on the table even 1 extra turn.
Banking for Compass

The uploaded save is an autosave from the start of the turn I think.
Click no on switch to Mercantilism and pause it before viewing.
A tech is autoselected and the worker on wheat started the turn already with its movement used up I think.
Nothing irreversible from just opening the save, so no re-upload required.

Great work WastinTime! :D

That was a tense turnset with all the trading questions. :whew:
We grabbed golden nuggets from the lion's mouth.
I'm surprised Peter is still in Confu.

I see Canal and Silver are both growing with no happiness problems.

Should our capital go for Size 9 or Size 10?

Whale City is saying the Golden Age will start on T130. :smoke:

Kind of want Horseback Riding from Sitting Bull, but what on earth will it take to get him +4 fair trade for friendly?

oh crap. I did forget to pause for sure. let me look. Back to my old tricks.
Er, I'm only concerned by the Workers with turns already used up.

You moved and used the Workers before uploading right?

I paused, looked around, and then saved.
Should I re-upload just the Real Save just to be safe?

**Edit*
Ah, popups at the end of the turn, that explains it.
Mine are at start.

It was the correct save. I have my settings so those popups are queued til end of turn. I uploaded a new paused save and cleared those dialogs.

You moved and used the Workers before uploading right?
The wheat fort worker did his job this turn. I moved the Parthenon chopper so I didn't have to put a sign on the forest.
All other units have not moved.
That was all before I uploaded yesterday. Today, I didn't do any irreversible moves.

A harbor in Moscow means +200g for a trade mission.
I'm already tempted by 1300:gold: without Habor.
Running all that money through our :science: multipliers and the 1.2 tech bonus (no bonus if teching Astro) would probably give more beakers than any Great Scientist Bulb.

The only problem is that it takes time.
Like 10 turns to get to Moscow. (Need to get there before Sci. Methods obsoletes Temple of Artemis)
Then another 15 turns to spend all that money.

Are we teching too fast for a 300gpp Great Merchant to make sense?
