[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

I'm gonna change all the Wealth to Research (it's only in cities with 1hpt)
We might need the extra. Like to get Aes in 1 turn.

Peter could settle a city with food any turn. He finished a settler.
IIRC, he has 2 settlers, One newborn and one east of Rostov.
But that doesn't change the fact that we don't have our galley in place to transport the miss and even if we did, it's not likely he can get somewhere and spread T117

Don't forget if Whale City is slow-building Parthenon a bunch of turns to save a forest, it will have less food than just chopping.

Sorry if galley1 is in a bad spot.
I thought iron city spread was a sure thing, and I had a good feeling about the last fogged tile.

Turnset Report T115 - 124

Sure enough, settler 2N of Rostov and 2nd one in Moscow.
Also a longbow. Peter will be spending some $$ upgrading.

Gem
to Peter for nothing
MC to Peter for 50:gold: + map

Red light
No +diplo for 5th tech :gripe:

T116

No drama. (i.e. no Tao spread, demands, forests, iron, etc)

Confu 100% spread to Yaro

T117
Drum roll please....
Peter is grateful for the resources +1 :wavey:

Confu 100% spread to Novgorod.

Currency for Confu + 10:gold: + map
Peter is thankful for the tech sharing
Friendly Peter gets Machinery + our map + 70:gold: for Feudalism.
Peter is still offering Philo (so AWat not started)

More good news. We saved the Iron Island missionary at Yek. for last for this reason.
We don't need to use him yet.
He can now board the galley (perfectly timed Kait, no worries) and look for a more food-rich city. (thx for reminding LC, I probably woulda just spread IronCity)

Odd. SB is worst enemy of Peter. So no lopsided trading with SB
Actually, that won't last cus they share a religion now. Must be just cus Peter is in anarchy?

T118
Prophet born far away.

T119
Buddha shrine

SB gets Calendar. We don't need that for 30 turns.

T120
Peter has Construction and will trade it as well as Philo
He gets another Great Scientist. Probably good news for us.

Peter settles Yakutsk (dbl Clam) the SE corner by the White-ish AI.
We spread Confu there.

T121
another drum roll for Peter's next tech...
Theology (7)
Oh boy, that will be interesting.
Peter adopts Pacifism. :hmm:

Guilds

We're back to 1hpt cities doing wealth, except we need 1:science: bulid Research to get Aes in 1 turn :king:

122
Aesthetics

SB cancels Rice crab deal. That's overdue.
I give him one of our 2 Silver for Rice.

Peter:
Philo  + Construction  + map + 20:gold: for Guilds+Aes
A well balanced trade since he wouldn't offer Archery (not that I'd take archery)

123
pausing to calc whether Silver can work silver or must work 1f1h tundra, and other checks.

fyi, when Profit's borders expanded, we saw a new ocean tile with commerce SW of there.

Hanging Gardens somewhere

Christianity founded! (far away) doh!
You know what that means, Peter drops his research and chooses...
Spoiler tech :
Compass (4)

Oh, and guess what? He's still Confu!
The formula was complicated. Maybe being in Pacifism had an effect :dunno:

We have Marble

T124

Peter
settled again
Another zero food site in the NE corner

University of Sankore

T125

SB has HBR

Banking

XML says 5 techs.
Decay, yes, if I'm reading it right, XML shows 1% chance per turn that one tech gift was forgotten.

So now the plan is:
T117 Currency for Confu + gold
T117 (hopefully) Machinery+map+gold for Feudal
T122 Guilds for Philo. or Guilds+Aes for Philo+Construction

:cringe:, dang I even tested for memory decay a bit.

I'll start praying harder!
Having to detour to music line would suck.

no change, they're both. -2
There’s a random hidden factor between AIs {0, -1, -2} assigned on T0. For Peter it’s either -1 or -2, making him Annoyed.

If SB is Cautious, his is 0.

If Peter becomes Cautious when his visible is -1, his hidden factor is -1, else -2.

Good to know.

I think SB and Peter are playing catchup on EPs, so I'm putting all 8 of ours on SB and we will know what he is teching before my turnset is over!
