[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Oops, I forgot about that!
Yes, he probably will.
He has to wait a certain # of turns after his last switch. So we may not want to rush a missionary over there?
Or we get a spy over there an flip him back at convenient times.
Or just ask him nicely to switch (for tech)

Don't forget. We have a head start on OB with SB and resource trades +mods. He might be better for Philo.

If he’s been running 1sci, we have 6t to get Alpha and gift him Meditation and (Phood)-CoL
There's always GS #2

Sure? I guess we need currency
Currency pays for itself eventually--in case you're thinking of patiently waiting. The AI is slow to research it.
As Kait said, you don't normally regret getting it.
Build wealth is not as good as failgold, but sometimes beggars can't be choosers. We were perfectly happy to put hammers in Henge before stone. That's just 'build wealth'. I think we need build wealth a little bit to keep tech moving. If we do paper 1st, we could be dead in the water until Mids.

Disagree. Science has almost nothing to do. It can 2-whip a monastery right after the warrior+Mids. Then, missionaries come out 2 every 5 turns
Hmm. I suppose we could be patient and wait for free spread. It is the closest.
But carting him off to Peter so soon doesn't feel right. I'll take a free spread there too.

Kait’s talking about a quick Mids. Then we need something else to put fail goal into.

Canal is 14 far from Cows, Silver 13. Whales is the farthest but weak for spamming currently.

Poverty Point built a totem pole t73.

SB won’t spam any GSes elsewhere than PP. Watch for him whipping a library there. Cahokia could theoretically run two sci at p4.

So it sounds like the plan is Currency -> Paper and Mids in Cows ASAP, right? Any constraints in testing or can we chop/whip freely? I'm out until Monday for testing...

Avoid chopping any forests into capital from 3rd ring.
The whole empire can chop for mids, but capital forests are best to chop for Oxford now I think.

We could also use a fur, silver, and rice to trade to Peter.
Those would help him grow the most.
Maybe we road those right after Mids completes.

Kait’s talking about a quick Mids
Looks like we can stuff gold into Mids all but 2 turns and get the last hammers in at Cow City on T92 on T94 sorry.
Oddly enough, we don't seem to need the Dun trick because the 1 turn we can't put any hammers into mids while we don't have stone actually hurts!

Let me write out a rough draft PPP.

I'll need some more time, but T92 feels a little early for Mids. Is there value in getting it so soon? are we planning to go rep/caste right away? I have some plans brewing.

I fear Ramesses with stone.
One never knows.

Our entire game strategy revolves around needing Pyramids if we are going to try and get 9 great people.

Can just keep pumping more into Maoi next, then Sankore later.

No real plans for rep/caste.
Just the bones of plans right now.

Ya, the empire naturally runs out of failgold pumping for Pyramids anyway around T94.

Possible changes to rough draft PPP are to whip Heretic on T83, 1 turn early.
Overflow goes into Pyramids T84 giving us +40:gold: more than rough draft PPP.
Canal City does not get a workboat T85, and Clam City keeps the workboat from Cow City for T88.

Clam City puts 2 hammers into a workboat on T83+T84, then whip workboat complete on T94 and sends it to Canal City and nets the 3rd seafood on T97.
Or maybe just 1 hammer into workboat T84, I'm not sure.
Need to look if Lighthouse can fit 1 more gammer.

Other change is that if we are going into Caste on Turn 95, then Whale City should whip a lighthouse T89 and not a workboat.
The workboat can be constructed slowly with hammers T91+ or whipped on T92 or T93.

Oops, this is a not very good idea.
Workboat 1st and Lighthouse can be whipped T94 is better now that I look a 2nd time.

Don't forget. We have a head start on OB with SB and resource trades +mods. He might be better for Philo.

Sitting Bull will never be Friendly if he approaches our lands and we close Open Borders to save our forests+wheat and keep him from building border tension negmods.

As far as I know the diplo bonus resets to 0.
Getting Open Borders again later means we have to start from scratch.

The only way to get Friendly Sitting Bull without Open Borders is to hope he demands our crab or demands we switch to Confu religion (I think this is +1?) after a lucky spread.

I don't feel like gambling on a 50% GS in Canal.
it would be more like 45% if we do it 1st and ?? 65% if 2nd? just guessing.
The problem with doing it 2nd is that we don' t know if we should start manually doing Edu or not after paper.
So, I'd rather just not do the 55% Gspy.
That leaves Whales or Science. I don't think whales is ready, but it maybe could be.

I'm currently thinking Science now that we don't have those nasty gems tiles to work anyway.
So, we change the PPP to get 48 total gpp in Science. It currently shows 24, so we only need 24 more.
That's 1 sci for 8 more turns (before T95) (or 2 sci for 4 turns, whatever)
Then, on T95 we do Rep+Caste and 6 turns of caste at 9gpp = 102 (GS 100%)
5 more turns of caste and we get 200+ gpp in Silver.

So, T107 we get Edu.

We could work Scientist instead of Horse in capital on T90 +T91
Then work 2 Scientists at Size 6 on T92, T93, T94
That gets us to 48/100 by T95.

Camp the fur or mine it?
T87 - T89 Lighthouse; Crab, Stone
I doubt if it's better to work on whale+crab when food bin is not full.

Seems cows border will pop soon. Does that threaten the pillagable deer-gem road?
