That's an additional -90gpt empire wide. Let's call it -100 with inflation

Silver gets +28gpt or +56 with bank/market/grocer.

If we work 5 merchants in that city : +30gpt

Sushi seems affordable. I don't know that strike can work. You have to run 0% research and only use scientists and build research.
 
Another benefit of exploring the New World ASAP is seeing what AIs are building in their cities, in particular, if they’re building wonders that we can get failgold from.
 
If we were truly cooperating with the AI, we'd pick an AI with very little sushi to trade us (like SB), we could spread foreign corp (once) and let him spread it around his cities.

Silver gets the +8gpt / city (with bank/m/g)

Yeah, we didn't have time for Parthenon, NE, or (hardly any) in Sankore. Just wanted the benefits.
We haven't whipped since like T116 and can't whip til 146.

The only wonders left that we will complete (with a quarry multiplier) are HeroicEpic and West Point.

But the other day, I was trying to calculate if Wonderbread economy even works any longer this game.
a) we don't have IND trait
b) we don't have Kremlin
c) we don't have 40 cities to whip

We have big, beautiful cities with libraries and Universities.
Every time we whip something, if we whip away an extra pop to get 67:gold: every 10 turns, but we are keeping that city down one less scientist who can do +90:science: over 10t.

I think Wonderbread is dead.
We invest more (courthouses obviously, temples, maybe observatories? but probably military) with min OF (I've never typed that before)
and then grow up to the happy cap.

Maybe minOF is not correct. Think about maximizing happy and population but still build stuff. So...
temple (maxOF) -> Treb
courthouse (maxOF) -> same Treb

We get 3 things we need for only 2 anger.
 
Profit will give birth 135 -- before Econ (assuming we go GunP, Nationalism)
But that doesn't change the point you're trying to make. You want one of those to get us post-sushi money and delay Bio and Sushi by 2 turns, which delays the turn we can get Calendar by 2t, etc.

Now ofc, if we pop a spy in Canal and an artist in Science, trade mission is on (if we get 2 GM)

Let me pretend that I am fighting for the trade mission...
One less GS is 1700 less :science:, so we have to make up for that over the next 20 turns.

1) build research everywhere we intended to build wealth. Normally not smart to do this, but if you have a pile of cash you need to burn to get tech faster, you do it.
I had to do that earlier to get Aes in 1 turn to get Construction in trade.
This would not be many hammers tho given our specialist economy.

2) Wherever we planned to work Merchants, work sci or some other good tile (silver, moai tiles, etc.)
So, for example, a city like Clams could pop its 100% GS and then (without a trade mission) we'd run merchants to keep our bank acct in the black. With trade mission, we can run 5 sci instead.

I'm not sure all of this and some other tricks will add up to 1700.
I think I maybe got it to work?

We get 11 great people from our golden ages instead of 10.

1) Trade Banking to Peter for Compass+60:gold:+Slavery(hope for harbor whip in Moscow)
2) Trigger the Golden Age on T128 right away!
3) We have Optics on T129 if Peter not teching it on T128.

Canal runs 1 Scientist T127, 6 Artists on T128, then 10 Scientists starting T129.
Science City (halt growth!) runs 1 Scientist T128, 3 on T129, then 8 starting T130. (completes National Epic in 3 turns)
Silver City runs 2 Scientists T127, 4 on T128, then 9 starting on T129.

T128 - Golden Age starts
T129 - 200GPP born in Canal City
T132 - 300GPP born in Science City
T133 - 400GPP born in Silver City
T134 - 500GPP born in Canal City
T136 - No more golden age this turn
T137 - 600GPP born in Profit City
T139 - 700GPP born in Science City
T140 - 2nd Golden Age starts
T142 - 800GPP born in Clam City
T?? - 900GPP born in Cow City
T?? - 1000GPP born in Whale City (Grows to Size 10 right away to fix anger issues (Cow City will lose its +3:) but it ok), then tries to spawn a great person lazily)
T?? - 1200GPP born in Silver City
T?? - 1400GPP born in Canal City
T148 - No more golden age this turn

I got Canal City to 251 GPP and 1:food:/44 on T136, so it should be able to zoom to 1400 later I think before T :hmm:

Anyway, the extra great person can be a great merchant, so we still get 8 bulbs with scientists hopefully.
Try to spawn it T142 in Clam City?
If it spawns (99% chance I think), immediately cash in a trade mission in Moscow T142 (economics Great Merchant) and send the new Great Merchant to Silver City.
If it does not spawn, recall the Great Merchant from Moscow and march him to Silver City.

Uhh, either way they have 6 or 7 turns to get to Silver City? hmm

Don't renegotiate Rice with Peter. If he asks us to cancel deals with SB, we will. So we need to be able to get our Rice back.
 
Aww, I ran Canal to the end of the spreadsheet, and even starving 2 pop I got to 1260 on T148. :cry:

If Silver City gets 1000GPP on T146.
I could eek out Canal City 1200GPP on T148 while surging Whale City since it comes later in city list.
Canal City is the weak link here.

Since Clams will be angry T129 when Science grows to 10 (happy again 130 due to whip anger loss), I had to adjust it again for that loss of 2 food, but it's still not starving.
So ClamCity will do +40c over 20t (working an extra coast tile) :thumbsup: thanks to MG's 'adjustment' to Clams/Whales.

Our beloved capital starves down to Size 8.
Whale starves from Size 10 back to down Size 9 Size 11 back to Size 10.
Canal City starves from Size 12 all the way back to Size 8. :mwaha:

The city order matters a lot, over and over and over again.
