[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Ok, I think all the food is right and all the changes are recorded in this latest spreadsheet.

National Epic gets done in 3 turns and Parthenon gets done in 2 turns.
Golden Age 1 starts next turn on T128.
Still need Wheat on T130.

I think Canal City works 6 Artists on T128 and builds :culture: T128 and T129 to get us Wheat faster.

Only 4 population is lost to starvation now. :)
Don't need any farms or anything.

So work merchants in Profit City for Golden Age 2 and merchants in Clam City for Great Merchant?
Send the free GM from Economics to Moscow on Caravel around T132 since it is faster than T136 possible GM from Profit City.

If the 96% chance Great Merchant is born in Clam City on T140, do the Peter trade mission. Walk the Calm City GM to Silver City for Sushi.
If we get the 4% Great Scientist, forget the trade mission and sail the Caravel GM back to Silver City. (unless BOTH Profit City gets a Great Merchant AND Canal City gets a non-Great Scientist, then we can pair up Clam City GS and Canal City non-GS for 2nd golden age)

The only question is if we can get Music, Optics, Economics, and Nationalism done 1 turn before the end of the 1st Golden Age? :hmm:
We want to go into Nationhood civic on T135.

Music 797/936:science:
Optics 936:science:
Economics 2184:science:
Nationalism 2808:science:

I'm not sure we can do all 4 of those in the next 8 turns.
Economics might have to come after Nationalism.
Would need to do about 700:science: raw during Golden Age.

The specialists alone are 443 with multipliers I think.
No foreign trade routes, hmm.

I guess we can check our tech rate during 1st turn of Golden Age next turn.
If lower than 700, we will have to do Nationalism after Optics I think.

I had a simulation before. There will be 700+ raw beaker depending on the # of specialist(profit runs all merchants, ). Cash will not be a big problem after getting 60g from Peter.

GA = Golden Age or Great Artist (Person)?

Can we manage a third golden age?
Typo. I mean GP.

I'll pay that price for an extra GP, great work, Kaitzilla!
I had serious doubts we were going to make the organic part of research to manage Lib->Medicine 146 anyway, so 148 is probably not even delaying Bio/Sushi at all.

Send the free GM from Economics to Peter on Caravel around T133
Don't forget we should have +1 boat movement T135
Engineering might also improve the GM's speed

Nationalism done 1 turn before the end of the 1st Golden Age?
at 900 bpt, we can easily do this. (see MirrorGuard's sim)

merchants in Clam City for Great Merchant?
No likey. I don't like using a 100% GS city (which is rare this game)
Hmm... I don't like using a university city either.
Whales woulda been good, but it doesn't go til 1400.

I hate to say this, but it should be Cows at 700. We want this mudblood GE/GM born before GAge #2
Clams, a 100% pure GS should be after the GAge.

So now, Science is 900, Clams is 800, Profit gets 600 faster... (no change to the other 3 cities)

One more time! This swaps Cows 600 and Profit 700. Why? to grow Profit to size 8. That means working 1 more Moai tile every turn.

Ok, now I'm done....after this.
Whales no starve!
Has to work 1 citizen on T140

It goes from 693
7 turns @ +101gpp/turn
to 1400.
Staying just barely under each cuttoff
A work of art.

Diplomacy

Peter
Compass for Banking

Don't renegotiate Rice with Peter. If he asks us to cancel deals with SB, we will. So we need to be able to get our Rice back.
Give in to any Peter demand except:
Gold demand will be discussed with team
Everything else is a probably Yes including Paper or our map, or cancel deals w/SB (e.g. if Tao spread and he demanded switch we'd DENY that)

Every turn
Check if Confu/Tao spread somewhere
Check for fist
Save and the start and end of each turn
EP spending on Peter just enough to keep eyes on research

Stopping point
Peter or Sitting Bull demands :gold:, pause and discuss with team the amount
Peter starts Optics
Something unexpected happens
begin T130

Get Compass for Banking +*bribe Peter into slavery to accelerate harbor in Moscow?
I want his cash so get that and only slavery if he will throw that in.

Optics will be 1t, so Stopping point is beginning of 129

*T128 - Parthenon Fur silver horse +5 scientists
we don't have that many people, and, more importantly, the Parthenon doesn't finish
So probably : silver, horse, fur, tundraforest, 3 sci.

messes up Whlaes, but
I was gonna change the GPP plan this morning anyway :D.
edit: actually, there was a hardcoded value, so whales still hits 1400 with only 3 sci
(but I'm still gonna change it :))

Here's what I realized had to change.
Short answer: Whales (still no starve) 1400 on T149 (not 148). (but that's not a bad thing, it doesn't affect Bio/Sushi!)

Why? because this is not a Biology GS, it's for Astro, and we don't care if it comes as late as T150.
But why not just get it 148 like the plan says?
Because, we have to manually complete SciMeth so we have it on T147 (parthenon is gone)
Research:
146 SM
147 bulb Bio with our 100% pure GS, and manually finish Bio.
148 Liberalism
So we can't get Sushi 1t after GS birth no matter what because we have no way to put a few beakers into Bio.
149 Sushi, bulb some of Astro, Start Astro
150 Astro 100%

I think you're 1 short, so :
culture; 10 sc
No worries. T128 is golden age. Cacal city tile should provide 2h.
I want his cash so get that and only slavery if he will throw that in.
I have checked it. Peter will give map 60g archery slavery+ compass. Ofc, I won't take archery. The only question is if we want him into slavery. The downside is, anarchy will delay his tech/ may hide what's he is teching for 1 more turn.

T128 whales will grow to pop 10. With golden age bonus there will be +3 hammer surplus at T129.

Good point. I say we don't try to revolt him to Slavery then. I don't see it as that big a deal compared to keeping his tech speed up and figuring out where he's going next.

I haven't been following all of the micro details but with 68 revisions of the GPP plan, I'm sure it's perfect! ;)

Green light.

Right. How many hpts is Moscow running under castes?

Ah, right, I forgot the 1t earlier GAge bonus (again)
Still, Whales is a very delicate situation. We cannot run more than 3 sci. Unless other things are adjusted.
Don’t we want to run an even number of specialists everywhere? For example, in Whales, alternating 2 and 4? (Or am I making fool of myself, not looking at the save?)
