[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Long-term, Peter will threaten us greatly once he gets Chemistry and Astronomy.
He will send endless 6:strength: Privateers to pulverize all our food.
Our only defense with be Combat II Galleons (Drydock) which will get 50% odds vs. 4.8:strength: privateers that have been bombed twice by our Airships.
Sounds like fun. We could also erase his iron city.

I note that our spy could also land in Cahokia T144 for -20% T146 mission. In other words, we 1) have a choice of city and 2) with a GS or other reconnaissance we have a contingency plan — attack the under-defended city.

I know Kait likes PP for naval reasons but Cahokia has the stronger defenses, barracks, more production. PP may be easier to capture later on.

Both can be attacked amphibiously T146.

Maybe plan to capture both? Which is why I asked about drafting more muskets. We might have a chance to neuter SB. Gelded gold?

Canal 500+80:culture: => 80:culture: at PP-2n1w = 44% Celtic

=> 55% NA = 100:culture:

I’m guessing PP pops its borders T136.

Whoa, that is really clever! :goodjob:

Keep in mind tile culture is +1 per turn free.

So 100:culture: border pop is probably later than T136.

Capitals tend to be hard coded to have 1 extra defender than other cities I think.

I need to test about drafting dog soldiers.
I am not sure.

Any stomach to draft our capital?

Perhaps we should forget about putting our Great Scientist on the Canal City Caravel and have it focus on scouting Sitting Bull.

Or maybe our Trireme can get a look at Cahokia.

I don't think we can raze both cities before longbows.

We don’t necessarily need to raze both cities before lbs. If he’s in Castes, it’s enough to just kill his archers, then clean up. So maybe the last civics bribe is T146.

2. The spy does not make it to the galley at Canal1s1w on T143 without three roads or a road on Clam-2n1e, where we hope to spread forest. Or am I missing something? One solution would be to pick the spy up on T142 and hand off to returning caravel T143 for deposit in PP T144.
Very tight micro.

Looks good to me.
1 less road to build. :goodjob:

Okay. I’ll try to make a 100% draft tomorrow afternoon, playing evening or Saturday.

Thanks for your patience, guys.

I'm surprised that the play is still running amid recent developments with Covid in California. As they say, the show must go on. I wonder if the theater will have every other seat empty or something.

@LC, just because WT is taking a break doesn't mean you can. Where is the PPP? :trouble:

Are you kidding?!! I’m jumping at the chance for a turnset without the ominous thundercloud of Vetoad! looming overhead. But I have to take care of some things first.

I was wondering the same thing. Is it a play or the movie or a private screening?
