[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

Supermarket? +3health +1food
150 :hammers:

Since it requires a grocer, we could consider this in Silver.
The problem with Silver is it has no hammers and we may be in caste once we have Refrigeration (T185?).
A hospital is whippable any time. costs more, (200) for less of an effect.
It would take 15 turns to build at 10hpt, so it would complete T200. We'd have lost -150 build wealth, but now we can support 2 more specialists for 30 turns.

I was debating one of these for Profit since it wants to work Moai tiles and also 9 specialists.
We would love to have Profit stable at size 22  but we can't really get there cus we have too many 1f tundra tiles.
It would take a while to get that last pop, so maybe size 20 or 21.

Hopefully we won't be running 0% slider too many more turns though.
Right. I'm thinking maybe 1 turn will be needed to make it to T166 for 1500:gold:
Then we will never touch the slider again. :wow:
- and no build wealth :nono: after T166.
- and if we have nothing to build, build research :dubious:
- and no failgold :nope:
- and we're gonna pay Peter for extra seafood. :faint:

We just need to get to the caste switch using our trade mission, pillage, tech trade, resource trade, and conquest gold, That's about 3000:gold: we can spend.

Once in caste:
ClamCity: 4 merchants = 33:gold: (WallSt. bank, market)
Silver: 10 merchants + HQ (10 sushi cities) = 140 :gold:
173 gpt not counting resource gpt

side note: ClamCity is limited # of merchants because it has to do sooo many workshops for UN.

I updated the PPP with a schedule to take MoundCity during my turnset on T171. One extra cat in Science (5xp, thx GG) so we can keep pounding 1 scout.

Depending on how much we value hitting 2 scouts for 6GG points, we could try to keep both going.
Problem is, I want that oil-workshop tile. So we could maybe CeaseFire after MoundCity goes down and re-engage both scouts, but that one would make it to SB culture, so only 1 GG point.

Privateer plunder calculation:
No cash during war, obsolete! BTW the amount of cash collected by one of your Privateers during peace is equal to the commerce this city would get for a trade route to itself, multiplied by the number of trade routes it can have. If Hannibal has built GLH and ToA in Carthage (with Cothon) this can be quite :yumyum:.

The diagonal grid lines are only displayed after you clicked on one of your blockading units. But don't wake it up or it will otherwise not be able to blockade again for that turn, as blockading costs all remaining movement points.

Gonna take a look at the UN-mechanics...
We could have at least a couple decent targets.

A trade rt to yourself? so no overseas, no foreign, no +150% for peace with yourself.
+25% captial and +50% harbor is still just 1gpt.

So 5gpt? or can it be 10gpt?
And 10gpt in Moscow (ToA)

Can anyone see anything controversial in the next few turns? Maybe I can play some later today?
My general goal is to work the specialist slots we have available more and get our research back up to 700.

Probably aim to play noon (PST) tomorrow unless there are some quick green lights, I could play a turn or two late this afternoon (it's about noon now)

My only concern is ignoring failgold. Our cities have research multipliers and our tech rate is limited by our absolute max tech output — the fewer merchants, the more scientists, the greater our absolute tech rate. Building science is bottom of the barrel.

Let’s look at foreign execs. 100h + 120g (?) to spread. That’s 320g (assuming 200 failgold). When will that pay off? 320g / 8gpt (?) = 40t unless AI spreads to his cities.

Seeding foreign execs later than ~T180 is dubious.

That’s good. The consideration I have is turning extra hammers into what?
Aqueduct or something non-critical
How does building wealth make you grow faster than building a cat?
I guess I should have said "I'm trying to make it to t166 without the trade mission." Size 11 is 166 regardless. I could maybe make it T165, but I would need to pay for 2 more clams. Not sure how many clams he'll give us.
40t unless AI spreads to his cities.

the key phrase being "unless the AI spreads", but even if they don't, the 1st 3 spreads around T180 are certainly worth it.
Not planning any more than the three.

What is the suggestion for failgold? I'm fine with doing HE in any city with a barracks and nothing better to do. But whip it? doesn't feel right. If we can leech off the AI building something, I like that too. Zeus and Paya we don't have the resource for.
I'm tempted to trade Marble for a clam for 10t. Stone we will need for WestPoint during my turnset.
Hermitage? Not a big fan either cus we need to finish it somewhere.
We're missing IND, factory, power, and Kremlin for late-game failgold.
