I don't much like Jerkz. I think it has a negative connotation. Going along the same lines though, how about Smirkz? I would be fine sticking with Durkz as well. I'm sure we could all come up with some good names. Just throw something out there no matter how crazy it sounds. We all just might love it!

Can the administrators get access to people's personal email? Perhaps they could attempt to contact Durkz on our behalf. Is that possible, Alan? I'm sure if he had internet access he would have dropped in to say hi, but maybe he can still get email in the account he listed for civfanatics... like on a friend's computer or something. Personally I worry about him when ever I think about his leaving us, even though I hardly know him. I hope all is well with him.

However there's a poster and GotM player going by the name of Smirk. We might be able to get his approval, but it would still feel a bit odd I think. Smurkz is not too shabby, and yes I like the Smurf reference. Maybe even Smurfz would be a good name?

Hero Smurf smurfs further west to smurf out some nice places to smurf in.
Papa Smurf is smurfed by a barbie, but smurfs him to cinders...

@Sabre: As far as I'm concerned, you certainly get a vote, after all it's how others perceive us that's important. So you just convinced me where to put my vote.

I'm leaning towards Smurkz, but I don't mind Smurfz. I think with Smurfz we would need to be careful not to over do the smurfing... we might drive each other nuts

Ok, Team Smurkz it is.
It's a really nice name you know, and few people truly know the history behind the Smurkz. Everyone's heard of those blueish do-gooder smurfs, but the history behind the saga is not quite so pretty. The Smurkz, as they were really called, were actually more of a greenish hue, and quite a bit nastier than how they have been portraited in the stories. Their endless fights with the wannabe-wizard Gandhi who dreamt of going to the stars (or Gargamel as he was called in the stories) were actually really gruesome with lots of bloodshed on both sides. In the end they tricked him into building a space ship, which they then hi-jacked and went to space themselves...

Since no one objected, I went ahead and issued an invitation for Randy in the signup thread. And seeing how ControlFreak also listed himself as a PTW player, I hastily included him in the invitation as well.

Thanks! Of course, your win was very impressive as well, with a very tight race. I was somewhat surprised I finished that high, really.
